Ammon asks if any of us have dabbled in art. I think anyone who sits through long lectures like I did will have dabbled or gone bonkers (not mutually exclusive of course).

an idea of what the times were

living in Poughkeepsie, working in the OR

nursing school was the worst

but sometimes the doodling came in handy

I can see I will have to go back and check this thread more thoroughly on a faster hook-up.

In connection to a few of the posts on this page, though, from the handy Moments of Being by Raymond Greene:

[meanwhile, back in the British Isles, Oxford University]

"He was accused by his landlady of committing the intolerable nuisance of having what she described as 'pinted ores' in his room. 'And me, I 'as to wash em.' It was only after a long judicial inquiry that it was established that the 'ores' were oars and not whores."

Here are a few of my wife's acrylics. Her name is Rita Adams, maybe you have seen her and her easel in and around Yosemite!

Thought I'd give this a bump and post about this project. A couple of friends from MN(along with some others) are putting this out. Help em out if you're interested.

hey there say, paul... wow, how wonderful this is!!! say, longtime back, not sure when, just before 2000? (well, if i'm wrong, it'd be just after) ...

well, there was some really nice art in a store area in and around those coastal areas... i just can't remember which area...

we used to frequent many of those areas, when kids, too, with our folks..

thanks! so much for the link and heads up... :)

edit:

say, paul, you pics just showed!!! now that's the kind i stuff my mom and i love to draw, paint or view...

i'd do more, but i am doing 'people gift projects' ... hope to do some in the future....

i have my blue heron, to do, that is closest to nature, now...
:)

wonderful work you do!!!

ps:
(do you know what to do if you spill linseed oil down the sink drain, by anychance? it was a half cup-three quarters? i kept flushing cold water down the drain, for near a half?? hour....all is well, by now, i am sure--but still, it is not my real house, so i was concerned

*pics have NOT LOADED...so i have no idea how skully's ducks look, yet,
:)

Thanks Neebee for the kind words glad you liked the paintings. Dishsoap will break up the linseed oil... shouldn't be a problem.

hey there paul... say, thanks... i did not 'panic' but i was highly upset...

did not have dishsoap, i reckon it is too late now, but now i KNOW...
(i fixed the area so this will not happen again, i was afraid to use hot water to break it up, too, all because of the words: flamable...

say, when i call my mom, tomorrow, i will let her know ... if they get to GO, with my brother and his wife, i will share all their thoughts...
i know right now, my mom will love it...

well, night night, wheww, wish i had seen you on line, that night of the
'oil spill' but these supertopo guys, were my 'hero support' here...
