Anyway, if anybody is disputing that a more than de minimus number of folks come to the United States from so-called Third World countries to have babies and not to work, y'all better come to Southern California and start a small entrepreneurial business and meet a few of the people emigrating.

What's the point of meeting them if they're just gonna emigrate?

msg from Donald
I totally disagree with the FOX statement. I do not think Megyn Kelly is a quality journalist. I think her questioning of me, despite all of the polls saying I won the debate, was very unfair. Hopefully in the future I will be proven wrong and she will be able to elevate her standards to a level of professionalism that a network such as FOX deserves.
More importantly, I am very pleased to see the latest polls from Public Policy Polling showing me at a strong number one with 35% in New Hampshire, the Monmouth University poll showing me, again at number one, with 30% in South Carolina and the latest national poll from Gravis where I am again the clear front runner with 40%. It was also just announced that I won the prestigious corn kernel poll at the Iowa State Fair by a landslide.
I will be in Iowa tonight with my speech being broadcast live on CNN and other networks. My sole focus in running for the Presidency is to Make America Great Again!

I watched a significant part of his speech.
He is a TERRIBLE speaker....he cannot complete any statement without sidetracking himself, making it very difficult to follow what he is saying.
He feels totally spontaneous in his speaking style.
I imagine that is a large part of his attraction. He feels genuine....you are seeing the real Trump, not an image that he thinks you want to hear.
That was part of Reagan's attraction. Even people who disagreed voted for him, because they found him genuine.
Sincerity is the key. If you can fake that, you've got a huge advantage....
Trumps constant self-promotion gets old fast, but I think that gets overlooked in the face of genuineness.

I can't imagine any scenario where Trump is the Republican candidate.
Not. Gonna. Happen.
He's up over 20 percent in the polls over the next most popular dude right now, but even the most clueless will be waking up at some point, and when they do, I imagine that the hangover and regrets will rival looking into your angry wife's eyes the morning after any hooker, heavy drinks and multiple drug overdose evening.
Trump. Not. Gonna. Happen.

Reagan's attraction certainly included his authenticity. In an interesting sort of way, he reminded me of my father's reaction to Hubert Humphrey. My Dad was a lifeong Republican (of the Hiram Johnson type - for those who know California history), but he trusted Humphrey because he knew that Humphrey was a good man who clearly had more than his self-interest in mind.
Reagan, like Humphrey, had coherant principles that he articluated and followed, regardless of whether they were popular. In contrast, Trump's attraction begins and ends with his seeming unconcern for polls or convention. While that lends an aura of authenticity, he lacks any coherant, articulated principles of governance and comes across to those who think (as opposed to those who merely feel) as a self-absorbed jerk who inherited a lot of money.
As an aside, before you accuse me of simply adopting the politics of my parents, understand that my mother is a life-long Democrat, but only because viable Socialists weren't significant candidates. It will be interesting to see her reaction if Sanders continues to have traction. My Dad voted for Coolidge, Hoover, Hoover, Willkie, Dewey, Dewey, Eisenhower, Eisenhower, Nixon, Goldwater, Nixon, Nixon and Ford. No matter where I ended up politically, I had to be somewhat like one of my parents, and different from the other.

Reilly, I think the dems are worried about any republican.
A lot of people do not like Hillary, and Bernie can't win.
I have a feeling that Biden met with Warren, not to ask for her support, but to ask her to be his running mate.
That would be a smart move. She would get the womens vote, and the Sanders vote.

Crankster still hasn't answered my question from a few days back, maybe he's ignoring me?
Were Biden to enter and follow up with a Biden Warren ticket would you vote Biden Warren instead of Clinton?

HFCS...should Biden run I doubt he'd announce a VP early. But a Biden/Warren ticket would be great. So would a Clinton/Warren ticket. Joe and Hillary are friends and their views are interchangeable. I'll reserve judgment until I see how this e-mail nonsense plays out. Either would be fine with me.
I think Joe is putting out the hints in case Hillary's e-mail deal goes south. If it doesn't, I think he'll pass.
