Richard made sure to keep his rope as far away from the porta-potties as possible. You never know where some errant feces might land.
Thanks for the MeatFest and the patch of dirt we slept on.
And thanks to the photographer who made me look super muscular in this pic where we are stuffing our faces full of yummy food.

So last year the government kicked everyone
Out of the park including the Canadians
Many of them ended up continuing the facelift party on the Eastside
Well besides the well represented Pete and Anita at facelift this year
The others were a no show
Yes Anders thats you
And Yes Big Mike that's you
And Sandra also
And my favorite of all Canadians
RyanD
You all were missed
But
The facelift party still continues on the Eastside
As my new friend Hope is here
Tonight it was sushi at Yamatamis.
And then off to the horses
It sure is nice meeting people at facelift and making new friends
Thank you facelift!

Great time again!
Thanks for all the great pictures posted above.
Had a blast, it was pretty cool to get Tommy Caldwell's signature on the Iron Horse Summit Cuvee, I didn't have that planned at all, I think they raised well over $500 for the YCA.
Wonderful to see some old friends again, and make some new ones too. Put a few faces to ST names, nice.
Had fun at a late night dunk in the Merced Creek w/Lynn, it was so warm we just stood in the water looking at moonlit cliffs.
Yeah, fat chance buddy. I heard that from someone riding their bike past me while I was working this little problem at Housekeeping Boulder:
It was Nita, Ha!
Later that night, after Meatfest,
Timid Toprope and the Aiders at Yeller Pines.

v not that hard but not that easy either
My kind of rating system. A good friend decades ago proposed this: "There are only three ratings. Hard. Really hard. And I can't do it. There are no easy climbs."
It's been a kind of touchstone for me. lol
The rope is sweeeet! I may frame it. lol
I'm not really into the sh|tting jokes because, seriously, I would never want to offend in the slightest a man I have come to truly love and respect. The thought of him feeling the brunt of such references honestly causes me pain. Closure is full and complete, cosmic Karma has been paid in full, and it's all good!
Thanks to all that played a part in making that reality.

On Wed., Sept. 23rd I teamed up with Ed Hartouni to clean up all of the turnouts on the Big Oak Flat Road between Foresta Rd and the Valley. We picked up over 40 lbs of rubbish at these popular turnouts which offer visitors coming in on Hwy 120 their first views of Yosemite Valley.
At the raffle that evening, Ken Yager, President of YCA and the originator of Yosemite Facelift, presided over the evening raffle.
On Friday, Lisa joined me for a cleanup effort along the south side of the river between Bridalveil Straight-Away and Bridalveil Meadow.
On Saturday, Ed and his daughter, Stephanie, joined Lisa and me for a cleanup along the loop trails that include Taft Point, Sentinel Dome, and down the Glacier Point Road as far as Washburn Point where we sometimes stop on our tours.
Lisa and me at Taft Point.
That night at the raffle, Timmy was his usual funny and clever self!
All in all, it was a wonderful time, renewing old friendships and helping Yosemite look its very best!

The best pic was the one I got of Richard Jensen winning the rope at the evening raffle. Poetic justice and proof the Facelift is the best thing EVER!!!!
