I'm no expert on any of this Psychedelia stuff, but I do have some personal experience and I have read many things on this subject from several perspectives and I'm still curious about what others might think.
Maybe some of you other old hippies could try to describe the differences between Acid, Shrooms, and Peyote. I'm not really interested in cut and paste from "experts", more personal observations.
In my mind the differences are clear but when I try to describe these contrasts the language is lacking in depth.

Wayno and Timid.
Thanks for the explanations.
I remember professor of philosophy Arne Nęss telling a story about trying LSD. He was in the US as a professor. At a party some of his students offered him LSD. He was curious and took the stuff.
He said that it didn't make his experience of music much different, but his experience of paintings were completely different from what he was used to - the color, the form and so on. His interpretation was that since he was a quite skilled musician and had listened deeply to a lot of music, not much was added when it came to music. But when it came to paintings, he had never been much interested and never studied them in any depth and he thought that therefore the LSD experience gave him this "difference".
The day after taking LSD he should return to Norway, but he was in a terrible condition and not able to take care of himself. A couple of his students by miracle got him accepted for the flight and to Norway he went.

a koala in a boabab singin': biddy-biddy-bong-bong-biddy-bong...well, etc.
perhaps something a tad more contempo for you sir:
(replace miley's refrain lyrics with: "I've got my clam out, I'm hitting my bong, the outbreak went away.....")

I don't eat lunch, but I am having rabbit for dinner.
So dig this; my wife's birthday is today. Easter falls on Hitler's birthday and 4-20 and the wife's too.
I think I will take a few extra bong hits today.

I am a little late for the 420 post at 4:20 on 4/20 but in my defense I was busy and then I got distracted with something or other.
