After Phil Robertson, the patriarch of "Duck Dynasty," made controversial remarks about homosexuality that were published in GQ magazine, former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin spoke out in his defense.
However, when asked by Fox News host Greta Van Susteren if Robertson's remarks were offensive and whether or not she had any objection as to how he worded his comments, Palin said she didn't know what Robertson had actually said, Politico reports.
“I haven’t read the article. I don’t know exactly how he said it,” Palin explained on Fox News’s “On the Record With Greta Van Susteren" on Monday.
On December 18, shortly after the "Duck Dynasty" controversy began, Palin took to Facebook where she wrote, "Free speech is an endangered species. Those 'intolerants' hatin and taking on the Duck Dynasty patriarch for voicing his personal opinion are taking on all of us."
Palin's comment drew over 428,000 likes on the social network. Robertson's original comments in GQ expressed his opinions on homosexuality, including that he sees it as sinfin, akin to bestiality.

Looks like we found out who wears the pants at A&E.
( none of this would have ever happened if A&E had stuck to broadcasting ARTS and ENTERTAINMENT, but they had to get in bed with Reality TV )

I decided a long time ago that burning in hell will be my last act of martyrdom. I will rebel against anyone who tries to stop me, even if he has his own line of t-shirts and bobble head dolls.

There was a time when you could actually learn something watching The History Channel, but not any time in the last several years.
If you're interested in finding out how lumber is harvested, how commercial fishing is done, or anything about duck calls, whatever you do, don't watch the lumberjack show, the fishing show, or Duck Dynasty.
Of all the networks, The Learning Channel is home to Honey Boo Boo. WTF is anyone going to learn watching that?
NFL, Tour de France, and Formula 1 is about all my TV is good for anymore.
EDIT: The TV was on for a few hours on Christmas. I turn on DogTV, and crank the volume, when I leave the dogs at home. I don't know what it does, but they are in a heavy sleep when I get back.

The Nazis certainly were regular subjects. It used to be called The Hitler Channel for that reason.
I'll bet, though, the fat pawn shop guys get more network time today than Hitler ever did then.
Other programs were at least interesting, before Reality TV swallowed up the network.
I watched "The History Of Paint" one night, back when it really was the history channel, and learned a couple things I didn't know. "The History Of Salt" was pretty interesting, too. Cod Fish is a major reason why we speak English in America. Did you know that? I learned that watching "The History Of Fish".
Stuff like that would at least encourage me to check the listings ahead of time, and watch what sounded interesting. Now, it's just another dead channel to me.

They got like 8 gazillion dollars worth of superbowl add quality air time for FREE!
Gazillion? Reminds me of the old Bush joke:
Bush is in a meeting with the generals and says: "What is the latest report from Iraq?"
One general says: "Sir, yesterday 3 Brazilians were killed."
Bush says: "Brazilian!!!? Is that more than a million?"

A dozen or so years ago they had a show about the history of fast food, which was very interesting. I learned something about fried chicken, and how Colonel Sanders (who was never a colonel) got started.
Yeah, it was mostly Nazi shows (and still is to a large degree) but there were occasional gems like that. And at least Nazis are a legitimate historic subject.

It will go down as one of the most effective-ever promotions for a TV series.
Now every right-wing cretin in America will feel compelled to watch those bearded retards stumble through their shows.
Maybe one of them can be the next Republican candidate for president?
