I think LEB is saved by contributing very constructively in many healthrelated threads. I also think LEB is more than just one.

Marlow: she's also saved by the fact that her personal attacks are few. And when she does attack it's nothing like that post above from skipt directed at JStan. As opposed to skipt who was at almost 100% of his posts and fatty who was at least 75% of his (recent) posts.
The problem with her is she thinks she's making a point or has something valuable to offer when the reality is she misses the mark. and my observation is most folks react by beating their head against a wall trying to point out her denseness. most of the taco is frustrated with that and would simply like it gone. If it was me and I was on a forum and almost everyone wishes I would just leave.... I'd leave w/o a single word. but again... it's the denseness at play.

I don't post too often here, but I just can't resist wading into this sh#t-pond.
Fatty is delusional. I cannot believe that you guys don't see it. He always alludes to having secret knowledge, connections and power, but reality is somewhat different. All I see is Walter Mitty trying to validate his fantasy life via the internet. He has been called out more than once regarding claims he has made, and yet the BS continues to flow. His biggest claim to fame is his prolific posting on this site, and that is sad.
The Taco is a climbing site. This is a forum for climber. To the best of my knowledge, Fatty is not a climber. He is one of the most prolific posters here, and yet he posted almost zero climbing related material. At every chance, he inserts himself into threads, trolling for reactions and steering the conversations towards his favorite political subjects. just the sheer volume of his posts mean that he has a huge impact on the personality of this site. If you want to make The Taco an attractive place for climbers to come and talk around a virtual campfire, if is probably not advisable to have a delusional loudmouth troll as your most prolific poster.
As an aside, much of what I said about fatty applies to Lois. the only differences is that LEB is much more verbose and much less self aggrandizing.
This is CMs site. I like that there are no moderators and have no problem with CM occasionally dropping the pimp hand without explanation. Again, it is his site and all of us post here at his discretion.
As to Fatty having revenge - BS! That is just more delusional noise. It also points out a real a**hole he is.

fattrad has an online persona just like the rest of us. His happens to be based on constant self-aggrandizement, namedropping, and of late, ad hominems aimed at a few specific people. Anyone who believes all of fattrad's spray either hasn't been around very long, or they are the one who's deluded.
Once you get past that facade, and if you can let go of rigid ideology for a moment, fattrad is a pretty good guy- there's plenty of evidence of that in his relationship with his daughter, his support of outdoor interests that we're all invested in, participation in FaceLift...
His 'revenge'? Yeah...right. Remember...fattrad loves to spray, and he's probably bummed he got the boot. That tends to result in defensive, chest-thumping statements like 'revenge' (if that's actually what he said)- and chest-thumping is a core part of fattrad's ST persona.

I'm sure CMac considered any possible negative effects of the ban before he did it, and IF fatty was monetarily contributing to the site (which I highly doubt), CMac was obviously willing to forego that money to get rid of fatty
Mostly I just wanted to point out a subtle word choice error that those who strive to use correct English may appreciate, see below.
On the substance of this, I'm surprised that everyone seems to take Locker's tale of Fatty's "revenge" seriously. First, I don't recall Fatty claiming that he was "monetarily contributing to the site," and I read more of that nitwit's repetitious nonsense than I'm proud to admit. Second, seeing that one of his memes was "threatening" to "tool" various posters, if there's any truth to Locker's "revenge" stuff at all, it was probably meant to be taken as seriously as the "tooling."

Jeff has to be spoofing about revenge on CMac. His taunts are ritual humor. He told me for years that I hadno release moves on the uneven bars...I took it serious for a while but his personal emails revealed a very decent guy...just...ribbing everyone and lampooning himself.
But,yes, those lucheons with Dick Cheney were 100% factual. Thank heavens he can't call in air strikes with the Dems in power :-)

Nature, I never knew Fatty actually climbed. I always thought that he was like The LEB Thing. I did not perceive your post as an attack. It is nice to know that others also saw that he was full of it.
Many folks claim that their "online" personality is different than their "real life" personality, and that outside of the internet they are really "a nice person." While it may be true that they act better in the real world, I have always thought that a persons online personality is often an pretty true indicator of what is on the inside waiting to get out. I am not saying that Fatty is evil, and his charity work and adoption are admirable. However, they do not excuse him for the way he acted here. Here, he acted in a manner that was not appreciated by management and was shown the door. To be blunt, he was a dick that used this site as a tool to inflate his ego and further his delusions. This is not about political view, this is about the sheer volume of his BS negatively impacting the personality of this site. IMHO, he deserved to be whacked and this site will be better for it.
Now, will someone please post some "toe" or nuns in laytex! I would even settle for PTC posting another PG-13 cry for attention - anything is better than continuing to talk about Fatty now that he is gone!
