Wow.
I really appreciate the freedom ST offers as far as allowing folks to express themselves without fear of retribution.
I also appreciate the clarity it shows by not allowing someone to attack another without consequence.

I was amazed and angered to see what he wrote on the thread concerning Dave Turner's broken leg. One can imagine how quickly such a coward would vacate the bridge were Dave to suddenly show up.

Ah Greg. Methinks you haven't raised any children. If you had, you'd know that most kids figure it out and stop being dickheads just to be dicheads by about age 3. Seriously. Children raised in homes where they are given love and respect generally get over the as#@&%e stage pretty quickly.
What was it that drove medusa to post with such a mean spirit? We'll probably never know. Perhaps those who knew him, those who counted him as a friend have some idea, but the rest of us should just be thankful that he's gone -- and, in the hope that he's learned something, wish him well for the future.
And Phil, please let this thread stand. It'll sink out of sight in a day or two, but since you felt strongly enough to post in the first place, and so many people felt strongly enough to contribute their thoughts, why nuke it?

I am late to this thread.
I just went throught the posts, and I am so sorry that Medusa chose to "spew hatred" towards some very wonderful people this morning.
I am very glad he is gone.
Is there any way to remove all reference to his nasty and hateful posts?

Jeff has actually been pretty nice to me lately, making up (in his own way) for his attacks on Skip and I. He has invited me out to new climbing areas (which I have not accepted), and generally been pretty amiable.
But here's the thing. I cannot forget past personal attacks, and Callie is a good friend - and I haven't forgotten those attacks either.
So, Jeff - if you are reading this: it is not just on-line humor, it hurts people, and it is not OK.
