lakers--big, deepwater trout, right?
thought so until last night. on the tube at the sushi bar and strange roadblocks downtown, helicopters in the air, worse than when some weird president comes to town. people on the sidewalks outside of bars looking at it through the windows--now that's unusual in this burg. you'd hear roars like from a street riot, and it turns out someone had shot a basket.
we went to a concert of a group called fishtank ensemble at a club called the bordello. if you ever get to hear a real gypsy violinist, you won't have to see god.
who won that game anyway?

There's no lake in LA, but the LA River is really special- when it's flowing.
If LA Lakers is strange, what about Utah Jazz? Two words that usually aren't in the same conversation.

the LA river is special, and sometimes quite scary, when it's flowing. it used to have steelhead runs, which still happen in some of the creeks out at malibu. but no lake trout.

With the recent botched calls in FIFA and MLB (blah blah) at least NBA uses cameras to help make it correct some of the time .

I'm putting my neck out early on this one and sticking with last year's prediction!
Anyone catch that game tonight with Phx? I only caught the three overtimes. ALL the players were on fire! That's what it's about! 5.14 team freesolo!

Lakers Suck!....I hope they get their a@%#* handed to them in the playoffs.
Nothing like the Larry, Magic days.
Every time I watch them now,( and I only watch about 2 min.) they act like they don't even care getting blown out by cellar teams.

So what's going on with this?
Had dinner at the local brewery the other night ad several of the tv's featured large interracil
Al millionaires In yellow and blue pj's chasing a ball on a wood flood intersperse with film of a large diver haired whiteman wthat looked like Godzilla.
So, do the Lakers get to pummel the bulls in the finals this year? For a cook county alum such as myself this could be cool....
