Getting back to you five years later, Shipoopi-Steve. It means "stroke or blow of fat" basically a meaningless phrase in the normal sense. For example, "coup d'etat" means "blow of state" or "illegal seizure of power from a government". I mean, it could be a pretty good pun or humorous name though rather than "a final blow" (coup de grace).

This is a great example of why FA stories need to be told and preserved before we lose them as a culture. Once folks are gone so are the FA tales if they are somehow collected.
I love Marty, Stephane, Steve, and Ken dearly for their gear collections - that's also an easily lost legacy, but it's the FA stories I most enjoy and think are the real legacy of our time. Not capturing them is my main gripe about guidebooks.

On the same beam, healyje. Pages of - okay we went this way are okay, well worth the info as long as you know that the stories of the first ascent will be included. Other wise go find it yourself with out any sort of guide. Take back the adventure before it is all put on line here where it belongs(boy cott posting info like T GORODO, just the shots, pictures no attribution except a word every now and then; Ouch. some one said to buy the book.)I still like to see the climbing pictures but find the lack of information distracting.
Bump.

Steve,
Happy New Year to you and Heather. Have you posted a TR about your new route in TM? Don't give to much away about the second ascent of BY. We hope to have the book pretty much wrapped up by this May.
Love to you and H. You two are the very best. Thanks for your friendship, Lynne.
