19 plus years of marriage for my wife and I. I have to say that it just keeps getting better and better. I went through a really tough spell the last 5 years dealing with back surgery, meds, depression and all kinds of other junk that went with it, she has been there right along side me cheering me on and holding me up. I could not imagine doing that with anyone else.
Thanks Kelly, looking forward to the next 19 years.

I am a young man of 34. I lived all of my 20's nomadicaly, chasing the dream.

Magically, when I turned 30 I met my (to be) wife. I never in a million years would have guessed the changes the "right one" can bring about...effortlessly a great transformation occurred. She grounded me, balanced me, and taught me I was fine the way I was. She accepted and nurtured my spirit. It was/is amazing.

I embrace the responsibility that comes with our union. I love how we nurture each other and guide each other. She has helped me take great leaps towards what I imagine to be my true potential.

I don't free solo much anymore, or lead A4 over ledges, but who cares.

She makes me better at everything I do, and taught me that I great, as is.

If I'm a star, then she is the sky.

Thank you baby.

I'll get in on this. Krista and I are coming up on 10 years married, 16 all together. She is everything to me, gave me 2 awesome kids, puts up with my varying levels of sanity, and drags my sorry old ass up all sorts of hard routes. I love her dearly!

What a great thread.

Me, I'm kinda slow and plodding in most things in life. Didn't really start dating until halfway through college. Didn't figure out I should be climbing until I was 28.

Sometimes I'm envious of those who figure stuff out faster than me, but I'm grateful that my tortoiselike nature seems to lead me to almost always take me in the right direction.

And in a month, at the age of (almost) 40 I'll be getting married to a wonderful, smart, beautiful, and talented woman. I can barely wait.

"... so when do you guys grow out of that?"

You never outgrow the urge as a male, just learn to control that beast.

I appreciate them - just wish I could rent them instead of owning them.

The first was fun and all but in the end we were too young and still looking to party.

The second was great up until menopause hit and now she is BATSH#T CRAZY!!!

I'm starting to regret not taking up the career as a monk.

Posted before, but here's my wife, Liz, with me (coming up on 30 years of marriage this coming April--which has nothing to do with her flat affect, or mine!):

And she is a GREAT mom to our son, Joe, with whom I shared a cigar on a Puget Sound beach Saturday night:

Or maybe I have tiny MidsummerNightsDream feet. or some such.

My wife Liane and our kids at Mirror Lake a couple of years back

The California girl and the Brit guy got to know each other in 1985 while hiking over North Dome, from the Falls Trail to Snow Creek. She kept me headed in the right direction.... Still does. Coming up on 23 years together and, yea, it does keep getting better.
