During the Facelift a few years ago, a golfer was spotted driving balls over Tunnel View parking area into the canyon from the hillside above. The Rangers were called and chased him but he got away.

if you come off a pitch, just tell them that you stepped on a golf ball.

people will think i'm half nuts.

What is the name and phone number of the golf course that employed him?
We should do a phone campaign that might help to discourage this type of egregious littering in the future.

3,000 golfballs in the jt park...
and though the balls were rather small...
they had to count them all..
hey, whats the difference between a bad golfer and a bad rock climber?
A bad golfer goes: WHACK ... "Damn"!
A bad rock climber goes: "Damn"! ... WHACK.
An lady on a bus was glancing sideways toward his pockets. A bit embarrassed, he said to the lady, "It's all right ma'am, they're just golf balls."
She nodded and smiled sympathetically said, "Tell me - is that something like tennis elbow?"

In the Valley I remember in the late 70s a guy hitting balls from the rim into the valley floor.
He was busted for stamping cans with the 5 cent stamp. Got greedy and did not wait for the ink to dry.
Mark the ranger busted him when he saw blue marks on his hand as he was counting the cans.
Getting busted and kicked out of the Valley for nickels and dines geezers , well maybe it added up to dollars as I do not remember if I saw him more than one season .
Started out with potatoes for stamps then switched to rubber erasers I guess he should have updated to fast drying ink..
The things that went on in the Lodge Parking lot .

might not be related, but I was doing a route a while back and found a golf ball on a ledge. Kinda weird I thought, but then again, I heard of guys hitting balls off ledges on El Cap into the meadow below!
Peace
