If Peter is coming from Switzerland he and his beautiful wife will bring Finn, their, I believe now, 6 year old son.

My kids may show with theirs.....Aspen, 12...Joshie, 9 and Torrey now a robust 3. They were there last year. There were other kids but I forget their names. Jillie and Cowboy hosted a kid campfire sing each night in Yellow Pine. I was always there cause I like singing, music and campfires. Peace, Dude hope to meet you. Lynnie

I'll be there - coming a bit early, the Friday evening before.

Not sure which camp area I will be in - left it to Ken's team and am awaiting confirmation. But I know I missed out on Camp 4/Yellow Pines.

I'll definitely want to carpool into the valley on mornings to check in at the clean up area. But if the camp grounds are very far away, it is going to suck to go in each morning for the check in, especially as I would like to do clean up in areas that are a little off the beaten path.

Someone mentioned a clean up hike near Half Dome - THAT I would like to be part of!

I like to go to the raffle/evening event. But it's sort of going to suck for the "in-between" time there. Last year I went back to camp to make dinner, if I recall right. But with far away camping, that's just not efficient. Yet I don't want to eat Yosemite Village restaurant food each night.... What to do.

For you that are staying in outlying camping areas, I am ok with you signing up for multiple days so that you don't have to sign in every day and hope that makes it easier. Be patient with the camping. I have sites for close to 500 people and it is slightly more than double than previous years. We take care of the reservations which is a relief to the NPS personnel that normally do it. I am glad I don't have that job. There will be good groups of people in all the campgrounds and I am sure you will see old friends and make new ones.

P.S. If you still need camping contact me at YCA at inreach.com

Me and the G friends older son are going to try and make it. Since we are a little late have alternative plans to stay in the Valley. He is going to UC Merced. If any of you see a red haired kid standing on the side of 140 anytime with climbing gear pick him up. He has been climbing for about a year. In my mimd no doubt will be a good climber and why do you think he went to UC Merced in the first place. He has lots to learn. but is soo willing. Thanks and hope to see many of you In Sept.

Fig and I will be there toward the end. We are cruising the coast, so to speak, but will hit it on the rebound. I will have this trusty laptop to keep updated on weather, etc.

Wish us luck...the shark van rides again.
