I can totally buff out his dungeon.... VCR, vids, restraints, gags (much needed with the Bloot) I'll get a pile going and drop it off in the next day or two.....

SIDE NOTE: he stole my keys to the other pad that we are supposed to work on... ask him about them.... and make sure they are in his possession.

Locker,

Does he need parts? Clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, flywheel?

Can he do the install himself?

hey there blitzo... oh, say.... no way i can help now... but say, i will make it my stern and earnest prayer project these next three days....

i will be "hitting the heavens" for you and some neat transportation, car-wise... or, truck-wise...

say, in the mean time, as we all know, grace and love from friends, is to be cherished at these discouraging times...

may you have a wonderful time, seeing the loved of friends, come through, until you are able to "run on your own" and get to be "you again" to freeling do you part in this great outdoors...
god bless...

i won't give up on it, either.... :)

Blitzo could not install a panty liner into his own drawers.... think parts AND mechanic when donating. It ain't cheap either.

Blitzo needs like $250 in parts and the same in half asssed mystery guy labor..... $500 or so. At a real place the price can go up to $1200 or so.

Believe me.... I've heard the story at least 4876 times in the last couple of months.

Wheres Blitzo from? I am in PA and as an automechanic, I may be able to help out with doing the labor cheap / barter for equipment...

Kevin has it.
That's mostly how it goes. There's also the bleeding & cursing.
That can take a while.

don't forget the alignment tool, often rentable.
It ain't that tough unless it is a Porsche or an Audi, etc.

It may have been easier dropping the engine and replacing the clutch of a VW Beetle, an experience we all had. Modern engines and trannies are a bit more complex, although the principles are the same.

And, as t*r notes, you could always bash things with a rock until they worked.

Kevin should be careful - he may be volunteering himself to do the job for Blitzo. Only a few hours drive from SD to JT. :-)

Photos 'improved' by Locker, perhaps? With commentary from Russ?

I didn't say it was easy, or that I, could do it. I have perused the compound tool inventory, and never doubt the guy who lives there. T*R and Russ working in harmony, could do this!

Who does the bleeding & cursing part?

Me and TR could do it in about 7 hours with her pink wrenches and her fetching me beers....

Or I could do it solo in about 3.5 hours with Blitzo fetching me beers.....

but neither of those scenarios are happening in my lifetime.... I'm retired from the car repair business unless it is working on my Bus.

So much for being sympathetic and supportive and all that stuff discussed over on Karl's group hug thread. It sounds like Blitzo's having a rough patch, and we should at least pretend that we're trying to help. Though I guess on a Friday night we can have a bit of fun, too. Laughing in the face of adversity is a good trait. We're on your side, Blitzo. Really.
