Great respect for Conrad and Peter.

Hey, it's a commercial venture - staged.

How do you keep that from being contrived?

Money changes everything.

Good Bad a bit of both.

While it is true that we were there to document the FA. Peter is not one to do much of anything that is staged. When the boys sent the hardest pitches, it was the first time and it was the real deal.

Fully classic!

Conrad: "Well Peter, we're in good position."
Peter: "You mean we're at the bottom of the cliff."

I love it when videos tell the story of the route, show the dynamics between the characters who put it up, and offer good footage of the climbing. Well done ya'll.

This video just made my day! Incredible! It blew my mind when I was climbing the sun spot, looked behind me and saw the bolts on the arete (the 12+ crux of Solar Flare). Awesome position, best rock, and super exposure!

Thanks for sharing!

Speaking of bolts. I clipped one protection bolt on the Hulk and I was SUPER stoked to have it there. It was pretty scary right before I got to it and when I was 10 or 15 feet above it as there was no good gear near it. Those bolt are there for a reason. Thanks for cleaning and equipping all those awesome routes!

Is there a link for the topo?

We I did sunspot last year I saw the bolts on the arete and was blown away. It looks like a must do; a special place to hang out.

Are there too many bolts on the Hulk? It could be the case for airstream. Even if the route was put up on lead, 5'-8' between bolt placements seemed a bit close. It felt more like a bolt ladder than a sierra route when i got on it.

Regardless, the hulk is an immaculate hunk of granite and I dont think an extra bolt or two is going to ruin the experience. Sh#t, i clipped every bolt on airstream.

I really like to footage of Anker taking some falls, brings him and the climb to a more human level. Watching Croft dance up the route is inspiring to say the least.

Thanks for posting this, Jimmy.

Peter's been a hero of mine since climbing with him in JTree in 2000; Conrad's been a hero since the Mallory thing. The two of them together, climbing that beautiful stone, is simply priceless.

What a superb piece of filmwork. Thanks again.

Bo-Bo,

Don't know about a link, but the topo is definitely in the summit register.
