Always wanted to do that one. The name alone, let alone it's position on the rock, totally intrigued me. That's the nice thing about sites like this. Twenty years ago, I could NEVER find out anything about this route. Nothing (although maybe I was asking the wrong people). Now, there it is. Cool.
Thanks for the vicarious gratification.

Mark, inquiring minds would like to know! How do you plan on getting to Boot Flake/Tribal from GR?

If you go to the "Sloping Ledge" above "Eagle Ledge" after the King Swing on the Nose, there are two ways to get to Camp 4. One is the free variation down and left of the original route and the other is the original route, going straight up and swinging left. Right at that point where the Nose swings left, I'll swing right onto the top of the first pitch of Tribal Rite.
Here is a composite of five or six shots of Tom's showing that area. You can see that guy sitting right there on Tribal Rite and that guy in the green shirt ready to swing left on the Nose. I'll swing right, right there. I won't actually do the first pitch of Tribal Rite.

Bump for a really great photo trip report, except that the photos are too small. Any chance you could upload bigger pics - these little ones fantastic, yet are hard to appreciate.
Cheers,
Pete
