Never been to Cham but spent a few days in Zermatt in dreary weather and walked through the cemetery. Earie to be among the people that are legend.

I have not visited the hallowed climber cemetaries noted in the previous posts.

However, during my 2014 hut to hut trek, with a little climbing, through the Brenta Dolomites, these memorials in trailside shrines near huts, were common.

It makes for a profound visit.



So many young brave men died in these mountains. I have nothing but respect for them.
