The Mohonk Preserve hosted a party at their headquarters on Sat. night for about 200 of us. Really fun and inspiring to hear Macarthy, Dinini, and D'Antonio describe the importance and beauty of the Gunks and its climbing heritage. Many people were there not yet shown in the pics. Anyone ready to show them? DuMais, Eastman, Brosnan, Liff, Pearl, Monz, Lanzetta!!, Mike Freeman, all missing from the gathering. Maybe next year?? Scheuer would have a blast.

Thanks to Geno and everyone else posting these great pictures from Reunion II.
It certainly was great seeing everyone again, and the climbing gods (the original Vulgarians?) smiled on us and delivered awesome weather and fall colors.
Sorry I didn't get to the Spring area on Sunday and missed saying good bye to so many - hope to see you sometime BEFORE the next reunion. Let me know if anyone is coming to DC and needs a bed...
Aside to Dick Cilley: its been a long time! how the hell are you?

It's was like most days at the Gunks pure magic.
Many thanks to Geno for the photos. Dick Cilley, I met you at Tuolumne about 25 years ago when I was climbing there with Steve AMTER. I bought one of your "This ain't no %&!!# weine roast" chalk bags. The red bag still hangs from my waist.

Listening to some of you all at the Friday night event at R&S was really great. I can't remember, was it Rich Goldstone? - who talked about the Gunks always having been about the fun and camaraderie - was especially nice. That's what I have always felt, and sometimes I get heat on some of the climbing forums(like rc.com....) for focusing on that more than pushing grades. It's nice to know that I simply have been a product of my environment. And thank god for that! What fun would climbing BE without the FUN!!!???
Seeing so many of you guys out and about at the cliffs was cool too. Thanks to all the Reunionizers for making the weekend a wonderful one!
