Concur with Werner. Bloody 'ell, what a sh|tty website this is becoming. Does anybody here even climb? Why don't you separate this into two separate forums - climbing stuff, and other stuff? Then I wouldn't have to wade through all this crap - especially hers - to find a frickin' climbing post.
I feel ashamed for even reading this post, and even worse for replying to it.

Absolutely. And she then needs to deal with the consequences of being herself. She should not attack people and then get her feelings hurt when she gets called on it. Part of the problem is the cast of enablers who continually make her out to be some innocent ray of sunshine that has never said a negative word about anybody. She feeds off of that erroneous reinforcement and in the long run it is doing her no good whatsoever.

t*r is stuck in self destructive behavior. Even YOU, Lois, should see that. IF you want to help her, help her get out of that. Patting her on the head and telling her it's OK when she repeatedly tried to bring the roof down on herself is not helping.

Emphatically concur with Jebus, and I repeat my concurrence with Werner.
It's incredibly lame - actually it is worse than lame, it is cowardly - to delete stuff that you have written, and more significantly to delete stuff that other people have written. About the only thing more cowardly you can do is flame someone from behind a fake or anonymous identity.
In this virtual campfire which is ours, your credibility is based on your identity, so it is even more lame to keep changing your user name. Your credibility is also based on your word - what you write. Do you keep your word, or do you knott?
This incredibly annoying girl has cluttered this forum with THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS of posts from at least three different user names, demonstrating that she is [to put it kindly] "confused". I can't have a look in this place half the time without finding her crap plastered all over the bloody place, crap that offers no real merit or worth to the website.
It is highly inflammatory for her to write that she is being "stalked". This is an extremely cowardly thing for any woman to say if it is not true, and to play this vexatious card is despicable. Evidently she thought better of this false accusation since she deleted the post.
She has virtually no climbing experience, and when her nonsense fills the pages of this board, how can we hope to attract real climbers who actually WILL add value to this website? Every now and then we score a real "coup" and attract a "new old climber", this climber posts a bit about climbing, and then seemingly disappears, most likely because you have to hunt so hard between all the crap that people like her post here. [She is far from the only example of this behaviour, but she is arguably the worst example. The rest of you wankers know who you are]
People like her need to have a look in the mirror and ask themselves these questions: is the stuff I contribute to this website adding any value to the place, or enriching the lives of the others who contribute? Or am I just satisfying my own needs for [whatever the hell people like her need when they write this kind of crap] and annoying other people?
And now - praise the Lord and pass the pitons! - she has promised to leave:

I'd repeat myself, or say it again, but the sentiment remains the same. My last cogent post regarding this topic (see above) was chock-full of useful advice... though aimed in this case at t*r, applicable as well to us all, from time to time.
Fuq it, I'll slap it down again:
a better way to prove your intentions (i.e. climbing better, being a better partner) is NOT HERE. Every time you "respond" the hole gets bigger, and it appears that you leave everyone with just enough ammunition to keep shooting at you. Unfortunately, and though this must not your intent (I hope), you end up appearing more foolish.
(I don't believe for a sec that you really are this foolish, ITRW.)
Perhaps the smarter, and more productive option you could exercise would be to not respond, and instead absorb the small nuggets of wisdom that sometimes appear. (Most of) these people do not, and never will know you, yet by continuing to open the door, you keep getting punched in the face. Just keep the door closed!

Resistance is futile. When someone is looking for an emotional reaction and they push your buttons, they've won. If you can't rechannel those negative attempts with a positive force, just walk away. Most of this crap doesn't even dignify a response. Besides no-one is really listening.

Edit: But when words like "stalking" and "harassing" come into play, there's no way I'm going
to let such chickenshít, damning stuff fly. Knott to mention more than one person saying "young
women" (plural) - suggesting that I'm "stalking" and "harassing" multiple women on this site.
I think an apology is in order, but I won't hold my breath.
Edit to the edit™ In fairness to Dancing*WillowFeather, it wasn't nearly so much her as
it was her lame apologists - most especially DMT, whose own track record includes carrying
on conversations with himself under different user names (in days of yore on rec.climbing).

Serious stalking, which is in fact criminal, is bad. I'm sure we are ALL against it in fact.
false accusations of stalking totally suck and are on the level of a woman falsely accusing her soon to be ex husband of child molesting, in order to bolster her case in court. Happens ALL THE TIME.
Some women want their way, all the time, with no regard for the truth or any consequences. To hell with that sort of woman.
There are plenty of decent ones who don't pull that crap.
And Lois, dear, stalking is NOT a relative term. It has a very clear meaning, very negative, to the point of stalking being illegal and legally actionable, and the term is used by some women on this site precisely to demean, degrade and impune the object of derision.

For the record, I used to hang at Harbin Hot Springs a lot in the late 80's and early 90's.
There were people who would change their names every few months or so, and so I
would playfully heckle them. One guy had the name "Bunny Rabbit" (no lie), and he
later changed his name - but I kept calling him Bunny Rabbit, because it was funny, and because
name-changing seemed ridiculous to me. Anyway, Dancing Willow Feather is something I coined
off the top of my head, in the year of 1990. As long as you're at it making ridiculous "racist"
accusations, please explain to me what exactly a "Willow Feather" is, let alone one that dances...
Edit: Since I'll probably die of old age before I get an answer to my question above
(after all, I'm really, really old - knott to mention creepy), I promise knott to call you
that anymore. Besides, Toluene*Trainwreck has a better ring to it, dontcha think?

I agree with Werner, but being weaned on CascadeClimbers and RC. com, I guess that I discovered tolerance, as there will always be people that respond to infantile mentalities.
