Thanks Petch. I thought it might be a different route than Up From the Skies. I think I saw a single bolt with a homemade/leeper hanger from the ground, and the single open shut seemed to be much farther to the right. Plus it's just weird to see a single open shut.

Viva la Leap!

In honor of April Fool's Day, I am self-bumping this TR.

I would like to encourage anyone else who's ever made a fool of themselves here to self-bump the appropriate thread. Hopefully this will not overload the ST servers.

Well Petch is the current undisputed authority on the leap. There is a heck of a lot of terrain up there and it's easy to cross over onto something more inviting.....
The sleeper list ( while only having done about half is the standard for that area.) Many areas have much harder "sleeper list's".
To say easier then "Labor of Love"( which has been an abortion on the East face since it's inception),( Steve Miller probably Free soled that route trying to sell us guide books in 1980)....? WTf, but nice pictures and it sounds like you got your money's worth. Every time I get over to that area I climb 5 or 6 different routes before getting to the top. Regardless of the popularity of the LEAP it's a good size wall and endless variations exist.

Incidentally, we went back a week later and climbed the actual North Country (or at least the 2nd and 3rd pitches).
