Someone remind me... were we in A or B last year (Lynne - they are pretty far apart as it turns out). but dang! do we have both sites (Read: the entire camp) this year?

Smoked boogers.

800 wildfires in CA. I guess we're catching up on 150 years of ill-advised fire suppression.

I had spaghetti for dinner tonight, or if you want to be hoity toity, pasta. Then I visited my father, and we spent a lot of time looking at airline websites on the internet. He's going to Norway in a month, and isn't very internet savvy yet. So we're working on reservations and such. While we were doing this, a neighbour's cat wandered in and made itself at home, which was very cute.

Ken is busy with pre-FaceLift meetings, not to mention the museum display. Last year we had all of Yellow Pines for the first few days, but only half for the weekend (sites C & D?) - the Yosemite Institute was using the other half. I'm pretty sure that's a standard arragement, though no one seems to pay very close attention.

There's some room to spread out at Yellow Pines, at least if you have a tent. Certainly not as crowded as other Valley campgrounds, which are usually jeek by chowl.

I better have a beer while there's time, eh?

Just when you feel things are bottoming out, something or someone comes along to remind you that you are
a-lucky to be alive
b-thankful to be a climber
c-blessed to live in the best country on the planet(faulty as it may be, we DO enjoy freedoms that others do not)
d-grateful to be able to communicate with our peers-in-sport on this little website

Dinner discussion be damned, I just wanted to give a big shout out to all of you on this site who help keep me focused on my own reasons for getting out into the hills.

Thanks!! Brandon-

edit: incredibly well put, Cabeza, couldn't have said it better. I do love everything right now. Especially the fact that I am driving Oregon to climb Mt. Jefferson this next week.

Right now I am eating oranges. Well, I'm eating orange things like cheese puffs and orange soda. I would way rather eat a vegan pizza.

For breakfast it was a blackrasberry, blueberry, kombucha smoothie and a cup off coffee and then off to yoga. Gotta love it when you are feelin' it and the one armed handstands are stable. Didn't get to finish the pot off coffee so another cup is in order.
