Maybe Alex Honnold also labours under a handicap or two, but age, parenthood, and a full-time job unrelated to climbing are biggies.
After finally seeing the videos, there is clearly hard weird work to be done on that route. Everyone appears to use the wall and to invert.
A while back I used the Simon Carter photos in a slide show along with a little tune that goes, "If you follow your dreams...
you might
get
lost."

The lycra photo is not old. Not sure why John wore them; he told me when we were climbin in Colorado, but I forgot. Anyhow, he nearly sent it on that run. I suspect he's sent the thing by now, as that shot is a couple of years old.

Do ascents using the side, count? I wouldn't have called my ascent free ( or maybe a variation) hade I done it that way. Ymmv! But definitely multiple letter grades eSiesr, and there fore not 'the hadst' if done with that accomodation, prolly still kicks ass, though, in a more hollow, sort of way....
