LEB Edit: You men in those Samarai Belts* are really quite...well, manly.
Seriously, though - I do love to see these old school shots. Thanks for posting them.

Most of my J-Tree pics are 2000 miles to the east or 3000 miles to the west of my present location.
This shot I do have on hand, (a little earlier than 82, about 11/79) I allways laugh at.
I should've scammed a shower before coming down from the camp-4. No folks those are not nylons, that is just good ole tan and C-4 dirt. Would you believe my hair went back to almost blonde once I did finally get a shower.
(bouldering at the base of 'leave it to beaver')
Yep that's a Whillans,
$3.00 Salvation Army sneakers
and a pair of patagaonia 'Stand up' shorts that are about to walk away on their own.

This picture, posted a while back by The Uplander,
Is one of my all time faves & probably a couple/three years prior to '82,

(Largo, with ample guns, Cunning, uncharacteristically shy, & Lechlinski looking mischievous...)

That news photo Bachar posted back in 2008 in full hang off of Bearded Cabbage rules! JB must be showing for the camera, that was on his free solo circuit. I've seen him free solo that route on more than one occasion in the 80s and don't recall seeing the full hang off of one hand while he chalks up with his off hand. Love to see the full sized color version of that one. Spectacular pic, it's hard to realize for kids today how much Bachar defined "badass" back in the day.
