a) It's still going on
or
b) The bears wanted some fish and all hell broke loose
or
c) They're all sleeping off their drunken fish hangovers.
or
d) No Wi-Fi in yellow pines.
or
e) Various combos of the above.

while i have long had plans for the weekend the prevented me from being up there, i was hoping to make the weeknights in yellow pines and get a bit of cleaning/climbing done. unfortunately i have gotten a bit busy w/ work (working for yourself can be unpredictable like that) and i can't break away to get up there. =/
last night the wife and i were out surfing down in pacifica, watching the sunset and the incoming waves over one shoulder and the full moon rising over the other, and while that experience was some consolation, i was thinking about SUSHI!
damn...
on the full moon too, how awesome is the valley on the full moon!

Well since I am stuck slaving away in subf*#kinburbia, at least you could post some media of drunken debauchery resulting in "don't tase me dude" videos.
Or at least some gratuitous climbing shots

I followed natures directions to Yellow Pine by Sentinel Beach last night and found no cars, no lights, no people and no noise. What did I do wrong?
Peace

Not teasing. I drove all the way down there (just to socialize) and got shut down! Kinda sad about it.
still wondering what went wrong in the communications or my brain

Um, is thia spoof or something? has the campground situation changed? On Friday I have to 'stay after class,' then drive to Auburn (from Concord) pick up my soon to be a grown up, young'n, and then drive to the ditch and look for the legal free spot to crash (Yellow pines?)preferably near mass quantities of Unagi et al.

hey there all at face lift...
thanks for the share info...
say, khanom... sorry to hear only 15% of the other climbers you ran into, could spare any time... and here, too, you said LOTS of them had even already heard about it from what i saw in your quoute:
This morning I ran around C4 trying to drum up some support and interest. The good news is that about 50% of the climbers knew about the Facelift. The bad news is that only perhaps 15% I talked to seemed willing to give up some climbing time to help out. It's still gonna be huge!"
have fun... keep sharing...
best of wishes to enjoy your sushi-time...

I'm sure it happened. I just couldn't find it. There must be a missing piece of info somewhere
Looking at the map posted on another thread it seems there might have been an early left turn off the sentinal beach road that we missed but it must have been poorly marked and no lights or anything else were visible from the Sentinel beach road or area.'
Dang. I'm headed back down tomorrow so maybe I'll try again
Peace

Karl... sorry we missed you!
We were there... in the Yellow Pines volunteer camp... rolling sushi (Including Brutus of Wyde's FAMOUS HIGH SIERRA ROLL). ya gotta turn left & go past the sign that says "AUTHORIZED VEHICLES ONLY" "NO ENTRY OR YOU WILL BE TOOLED"
Back at the Old Climbers' Home now, sunburned, having scrubbed and SCOURED El Cap from the Nose to the Butt (East Butt, that is...)
Tooled on the way home because of Elapsed Registration on the Maxipad... and we were doing so well....

Don't know how you missed it Karl, must have ended in Sentinel Beach. We were all there and it was a fun time. The Chefs were awesome and taught my son how to make sushi which he enjoyed immensely. He didn't want to leave and on the ride home said it was the funnest evening he had ever had.
Today was the first day of the clean-up and we had over 400 people counting children. The evening program was awesome! Tomorrow there will be some media coverage.
