YIKES, it took a sec for the top photo to load, while the second photo loaded right off...
For a second I thought that that massive ice sheet was hanging off the roof on The Bridge of Khazad-dum!!! I figured that must have been the best winter ever!
Great photos. Thanks for the climbing thread. I was just over on the other thread reading about snakebites, but that turned into a flame war somewhere along the line...

Climbed this weird 6 pitch "sport" route in Chamonix that had a bunch of these for protection.
Then finished up this thing onto the restaurant deck. I arrived at the belay(??) to find my partner sitting at a table with a couple of beers. Only in France.
