After 3 or 4 car break ins and two house burglaries my position is that insurance is a must.
Unless you're inclined toinsurancefraud you're not going to be made whole, but you'll do OK.

Wow, thanks, Chris C!!!!! It is a long shot; I am very grateful for what you've done!! Thank you for taking the time and effort to look!
This past Sunday I went to the flea market in Oakland again. No lucks. I did see one man's BD harness hanging very randomly at back at one vendor. Quite odd. Some ArcTeryx such as wmn Atom in xs with tag - actually seemed legit, at another vendor. Was a bit surprised. I wondered how those were acquired... However, no climbing backpack, no climbing shoes, nothing... Maybe some homeless has my pack... x_X The look-out and search online continues...
