I hope they axe me, except for bird thread I only come here for the political threads. God forbid if we engage in discussion about our country and it's future.
Look at the Black Canyon guidebook thread, maybe one of the coolest and wildest canyon you will ever climb in and less than hundred posts in a month.
Excellent read. http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-end-of-a-republican-party/

General information:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coventry
Coventry's large industrial base made it attractive to the wave of Asian and Caribbean immigrants who arrived from Commonwealth colonies after 1948. In 1960, one of Britain's first mosques—and the very first in Coventry—was opened on Eagle Street to serve the city's growing Islamic community.[16] The 1970s, however, saw a decline in the British motor industry and Coventry suffered particularly badly, especially towards the end of that decade. By the early 1980s, Coventry had one of the highest unemployment rates in the country and crime rates rose well above the national average.[citation needed] Some 30 years later, Coventry is now considered as one of the UK's safer major cities and has gradually recovered economically with newer industries locating there, although the motor industry continues to decline. By 2008, only one motor manufacturing plant was operational, that of LTI Ltd, producing the popular TX4 taxi cabs. On 17 March 2010 LTI announced they would no longer be producing bodies and chassis in Coventry, instead producing them in China and shipping them in for final assembly in Coventry.[17]

I'm not so sure about this concept of a candidate who is totally "independent", instead of the product of a party.
To rise in a party, you generally have to be supportive of the party over time, gain experience and perform in a variety of lower level jobs, and generally "get seen". Generally, they are also accountable to many in the party. (not necessarily a litmus test, the dem VP candidate is pro-life)
One thing that this process tends to do, is weed out the truly crazy and sociopathic players. It guarantees that a person has experience working in the political world, with the skillset needed to succeed. There is a lot of time to test a person's patriotism, beliefs of religion in gov't, concepts of intrusiveness of gov't.
Trump is an excellent example of what occurs outside of that. No serious person would think that you could take someone with no business experience, and make them CEO of General Motors. But a lot of people trust him to "do something" and they don't care what it is.

"Is Boberino making a point with his silly graphs? What is it?"
The graph is pretty simple, the republican party is running out of angry white people to vote for them along with African Americans and Hispanics.

Funny how Mr Stannard never bitched when the Dems had the House, Senate and Oval Office. Guess we know where he stands....
For sanity, apparently.
