I'm halfway jealous.

I've sat around getting drunk and telling lies with Nature a few times, but I've never met Roy. Much to my regret.

He's got a taste for good beer. If we can figure it out... we'll invade!

You've been warned.

Aw hell, I ment to swing into this thread days ago to see how it went. Seems it was a some sort of spicy food beer fest - samosas? Tamarind sauce, tikka masala ? For breakfast!
Any more drone pics ? ( from above the stalls?) 8^}~~ looks like fun

Evel should you make it east in the spring I hope I hear of it..

So on topic nature. Thanks for the heads up.

Conversations that bridge and compliment the generation gap are a wonderful thing to be a part of. With tarbuster and Evel I'm sure it was quality stuff, very cool.

Don't give up on the kids though guys, my 20 something friends are running around there with a bottle of liquid acid as we speak.

And LIQId?? Reeeelly?! ( I'm too old for sure but ) that sort a fun is old new again. . .

Sorry I missed it. Roy's the real deal and I always have a great time with him.

Sometimes I suppose I wonder - are our stories as good as our experiences?

They may not be as good as the experiences, but they are a big part of what makes climbing so rewarding.

Paul Sibley once remarked that he thought Roy was the most gifted crack climber he ever met. That is some lofty praise.

Cool nature.
Roy has always seemed rad. I thought about contacting him when I was in Ned last summer but figured he'd be like "who? Um no". Tell him hi from me. Or if your lurking Roy- next time?
Trippy place, Ned.

Regarding the next gen- with all due respect *and I mean that, you're a little out of the loop.
I was too, and a cursory glance can leave you dismayed, by all the "dirtbagging"...nice cars, gear, etc.
but I'll tell ya- they're still there, and the torch is being passed by dudes from your gen. Hairy chicks, ranger cat and mouse, beater car shuffling, Function Boulder flop caves, big meals, soloing, and way more good ganj.
It's all just a continuum. Some get off the bus and others get on.
Cool that you got to reminisce about a shared place, a lot's changed but a lot's stayed the same, and those memories from different eras, yeah, it's kind of the fabric of the place.
Maybe you need to go back :-)

Ask him about that quote next time, Nat. It's a good 'un!
