Tami, I did that same thing to my vanagon. Rolled in after the bar closed, fell out of the van and crawled into the cabin. Woke up to this mess....

I had a 427 Chevy motor that I was going to put in it. Another project that I didn't finish. Here are a few more I never finished:

Although common in it's time, I thought this was a cool car. I owned it for about 5 years in the early 80's and tricked it out with suspension mods, headers and a ported and polished head/valves that took many hours of labor. Good times for sure.

The restoration was as close to original as possible, right down to the LeBaron Bonney upholstery.

I had planned to street rod it, but decided there were many rods available, but not that many originals.

I had fun with it, sold it to a collector.

Well I run up against that attitude (everything original stock) when it comes to my Z4 convertible which I believe to be an extremely cool car (even with the top up it has blown women's clothes off), but the problem is I am moving out to my ranch which is accessed by many miles of dirt road.

So many of my good friends who are no longer around rode in and enjoyed that car that it has sentimental value far above what I could sell it for. But with 4" clearance fuggetaboutit.

So I am looking into turning it into the world's only bavarian dune buggy, lifting it way up, adding big enough fenders, bull bar on the front and a high enough light rack to still op the top, maybe gerry can racks.

feedback anyone?

Winemaker, if you really want to shake your head, search "abandoned supercars" on google, and check the images. Enzos, F40s, ...
