I have Microsoft Photo Editor. Open the photo. Click on the "picture" toolbar. One of the sub-choices says "resize". You can then choose length, width (in pixels), or overall size. Or simply down or up size something by a stated percentage.
Again, I'm no expert, and I'm sure there are different and maybe better ways.
If you do resize an e-photo, save it separately from the original, otherwise the original will be lost.
I don't know what .mac and photocast are, but have a funny feeling I'm about to learn.

Finaly figured out how to downsize photos on my mac without a special photo program. Just in case anyone else is as illiterate as me I will attempt to explain how.
In iphoto select the photo you want and then hit the email button. It will ask you what size to save the image at. Choose small.
Then ctrl click on that photo on the mail page and select save attachment from the drop down menue.
I like to save mine to my desktop. It seems easier to find them later on when it's time to upload them to photo bucket.

As an FYI: Photobucket will resize your photos for you, too. Just click on the photo - it's one of the editing options (along with rotating).

Aya, Photobucket only lets you to upload photos that are 800 x 600. What if your photos are bigger than that?

Thanks for providing this "practice" space. I want to see if I can post this photo, and if so what size it will be..

Never answered the question:
If you upload a really big photo to photobucket, it resizes it for you.
If you want it smaller yet, you can do it via photobucket, as well.
No real need to mess around with other photo editors.

So what is that thing Johnboy? I wanna go next if Tarboze doesn't make it! I think it would only be sporting to take it above the roof.

I'm practicing posting photos (this seemed as good a thread as any to try on) and thanks to Mighty Hiker and his very detailed instructions if this actually works.

Beautiful. really good dogs.
Are these larger ones considered too big unless it is really a special photo?
