Oh! You met him! Strikingly similar in looks, huh?
Is he a doctor?
Lives in the same state.
Has the same name.
Hmm....

I would imagine that he is no longer practicing medicine if those allegations are true (and he admitted them).
I'll say it:
Mountain Man = Dr. Pervocet.

Hmm. If this is true, I gotta say it's a pretty low blow to out him on a public forum like this. Don't get me wrong. I disagree with pretty much everything he's said here, but, i dunno. Something about posting this seems pretty wrong...
Especially without absolute confirmation that this really is the same guy.

Thanks for the idea, Locker...

As long as we're being ghoulish and uncouth, anyone happen to know MM's birthday?

At the bottom. States his age as 53.
As far as how I found the article. One of the young ladies from this site who he apparently had email contact with felt a bit creeped out and did some research. She didn't want to come forward. I had no problem (after being called an america hating, satan loving, pinko-commie for the umpteenth time).
Same State
Same Age
Same name
Same Profession
Same appearance (minus the nose - LOL!)
Come out and play MM. Curious as to why you are not in the slammer?

Yes, the 1st article said he was 54 (at the time it was written), so he very well could have
been 53 at the time of the office visits. An exact birthdate would pin it down for sure.
But with the blockbuster post just above, it's pretty much a moot point.

If indeed, Doyle Tarwater is Mountain Man, and I am not saying he is (necessarily), then his character leaves a lot to be desired.
And not a hypocrite Karl? Let’s see…
MM states in one thread that there are six children in his household.
Now presumably, he is the father (natural, step, adoptive), and presumably he is married.
If he is married then (and this was just a quick search I could probably find more hypocritical posts from MM) the following link shows that he is indeed a hypocrite (as many of us are at times, but speaking for myself I don’t get sanctimonious in my posts… I hope).
http://www.supertopo.com/climbing/thread.html?topic_id=254683&msg=254683#msg254683
He is also always posting religious posts and claims to be a (righteous) Christian, but I guess he forgot about the seventh commandment, Thou shall not commit adultery or the tenth, Thou Shall Not Covet Thy Neighbor’s Wife.
Here is a guy that slags off Clinton for a BJ…
If that is not hypocrisy Karl, I don’t know what is.
Again, as a disclaimer, we can only speculate that Doyle Tarwater and MM are the same man (though MM’s e-mail address is dtarman, pretty close and coincidental IMO) and also my presumptions could be totally wrong.
I have posted several time that of all the right twit contributors to this board, MM was the one that made the least sense and posted total bull.
But Karl is right in the fact that we probably have all used bad judgment at some point(s) in our lives and have transgressed the law in some manner, and I don’t fault MM for falling prey to his own (human) weaknesses, but his hypocrisy is what I can’t stand.
If the two men are one and the same, then MM should have been a bit more humbled by his transgressions than to slag off Billy Boy for his discretions.

It's been established in the past that Mountain Man is Doyle.
Yes, some of his past actions can be read as containing some hypocrisy, but I was just pointing out that he doesn't pretend to be non-horny or anti-drug.
I don't agree with Doyle about many things, in fact he recently pissed me off.
On the other hand, I'm content to call him an as#@&%e for those things and not because he's a weak human being like us all.
If I can be understanding if Clinton was weak, I can be understanding if Doyle is weak.
If Clinton and Doyle are still married after their public humiliations, then something must be there, I'm not to judge.
I know that we have to find a pathway to agree on what we can agree on politically and socially as a house divided is in danger. I'm not throwing any babies out with their nasty bathwater.
That's the way I have to take things in order to be happy in my life and to be myself.
I don't fault Anachronism for posting this info. I've outed people myself when inspired.
If I were Doyle, I'd post up and say something like.
"Yeah, that was me. I was wrong. I dealt with it. I'm not perfect. So what?"
If bad luck outed the worst in all of us, the headlines would not likely be rosier.
Peace
Karl

Can't agree with you on this one, Karl. MM has consistently voiced a "Holier than thou, I love America you hate it" 'tude that no one else has stated, except perhaps Jody occasionally. Well, MM isn't holier than us and I'm not exactly sure what the actions he admitted to demonstrate about him, but I know that it does not demonstrate any particular love for America or respect for its instutions or people, at least any greater love or respect than the rest of us have.

Very gracious indeed. Karl, You're truly the "Anti Troll"
BTW This doesn't really change my opinion of MM. He was an ass before and he's still an ass.
ABTW Good reminder (a la NYPD Blue), especially for the female trolls hereabout, to 'Be careful out there'

"BTW This doesn't really change my opinion of MM. He was an ass before and he's still an ass."
exactly!
the only remaining questions are, what goulish hidden skeletons do the rest of these homophobic, right wing, holier-than-thou posters on ST (and out there in the real world) have in their collective closets!
everyone who ever disagrees with one single thing i ever say ALWAYS turns out to be a complete as#@&%e, worthy of no respect WHATSOEVER!
...it's just a matter of time for the rest of you.
=)

I googled up a couple of follow-up articles. The doctor took full responsibility for his actions, apologized, and pled guilty. He paid a steep price for his mistakes, including having to cease practicing medicine.
If MM is the doctor mentioned (still not a sure thing), he's had to rebuild his life and move on. I, too, was offended by some of MM's political rants, but I guess I'm not offended enough to take pleasure in his (possible) past misfortunes.
Many of us spout of strong opinions. But we're not running for public office, we're usually just blowing of steam on an Internet forum. The best way to counter strong opinions is with your own facts and opinions, not by trying to dig up buried skeletons.
If MM is the doctor in the article, good for him for facing the music and going forward with his life. I hope he continues to participate on this board.

ironic that mountain-felon (if it is MM), fails to practice what he preaches and forces on others. Reminds me of the "Did you know" thread he started and deleted awhile back.
Did you know... mtnfelon will never agin practice medicine if convicted? Did you know... there is no interent service allowed in state prison? Did you know... Dr.'s are grouped in the general population at state prison and have cellmates (in mtnfelon's case, most likely an Aryan brotherhood celly)?
Best of luck...
