Team to team rivalries make sense to me...there's usually some kind of history there.
But Dodger Hate....like Yankee Hate...etc...goes beyond team to team. It's pervasive amongst lots of fans, even those who don't particularly follow baseball.
I've asked lots of people to explain their Haterz-ness towards the Dodgers, but can't get any kind of reason. They just hate the Dodgers. Why?
Edit: "There's no explaining hatred, it's irrational by definition"
It does seem to have the usual irrationality of any other kind of hate, but I'd like to believe that baseball was somehow different.

I am happy for the Giants. They deserved the win and I was pulling for them. Got to support he left coast baby.

Yeah, that's only been the case for the last year or few.
Dodger Hatin' is much, much older than that, and goes back much further than the Yankee-style money strategy.

Do you need some warm milk apogee?
Perhaps some burping?
To portray the Dodgers or there fan base as innocent victims is hilarious.

It was a fun series to watch, and game 7 was a classic. I like Bruce Bochy a lot, he had some good years here in San Diego. His game management was brilliant last night. Only negative about Bochy is the fact that he was born in France. Nobody is perfect.

Yeah, yeah, yeah....I know. Some of you are missing my point & question.
Team to Team rivalries make sense to me...there's always some kind of interesting history there. I understand why the Giants & Dodgers rivalry is the way it is, in the same way as Yankees-Red Sox.
It's the non team to team rivalry that I don't get, in the case of the Dodgers. Yankees are a good example of generalized Hatin', well beyond Red Sox fans....mostly because of their long history of moneyball.
Yes, the Dodgers used a moneyball approach in the last couple of years, but that has not been the case historically (any worse than any other team). Dodger Hatin', though, is a family tradition. Why?

Tad..... IMHO, that was the worst thing ever.
Those FANS are not real Baseball Fans, they are just gang-banging thugs and haters.....and I think they got off with to light punishment.
Baseball fans love the game, and they GET the long historical rivalres that exist. Those make the games better and more exciting. But when it gets down to REAL hating... thats wrong.

Relatively speaking, baseball still retains a reasonable amount of class & on-the-field sportsmanship. Sure, things get heated from time to time, but overall the drama stays pretty restrained. Yes, I'm probably biased.

Vitaliy, The Dodgers beat the Giants. Face it. We have a better team. You have the World Series Trophy, yes, but we beat you. So STFU and enjoy your trophy. We'll beat you again next year.

Savage,
Giants vs Dodgers head to head match ups during the 2014 regular season were split down the middle at ten wins, ten losses for each team. So, you're wrong. We have the better team and the trophy.
Again.....
BTW, this is Madison Bumgarner not Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw got spanked hard two different times this post season. Bumgarner on the other hand couldn't be touched. Back to the money man Dodger Blue.

Don't hate, I like your passion for the game. You know the old saying, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em".
We have plenty of room for fans like you. Now, toss that blue cap, take a deep breath, and grab one of these....
