Darn. The Barry secret is really out now.
Every time I've gone somewhere else out of convenience, I've regretted it. Barry is lord.
Peace

I always call him so he knows they're coming. That way you can also get a price estimate and enclose a check.

Barry has done over a dozen pair of shoes for me. Each and every time they have been awesome.
At one point Barry had broken a finger or something like that and he could not do my shoes, so I sent them to some other place. To make a long story short I was way bummed with the quality of the others guys work.

I'm new here, but just wanted to give Barry kudos, too. He spent about 20 min. on the phone explaining how he would fix my shoes, and was just the nicest guy you could ever want to do business with. My shoes came back within a week and they are better than when I first bought them! I also got a nice hand-written note and a sticker, which is now on my helmet.
Thanks, Barry!

just got my ancient pair of Kaukulators back from Barry, they look spiffy, and will now be my designated offwidth hightops... I can't imagine how much longer they'll last, but Barry did a great job on them.

My Kaukulators are great!
Had them out on Gary's woody a couple of weeks ago and in the Valley last weekend. It is awesome to have a pair of boots that are actually made to climb wide stuff.
Thanks Barry!

I went climbing with Barry at Joshua Tree last weekend......the dude is a million years old and still cranks out the climbs;...I seen it with my own eyes;...We did one established climb...(Wierd, tricky 5.10...Barry on the lead going for the gold!)..and then one cool 5.10 new route....(Barry the master climber again...!)..Let me say it again;.... Barry, The Pope, Gahndi, Frank Zappa and Chuck Norris......all awesome heroes!.....He climbs, he resoles, .....he da Man!

AWESOME! A thread I really get into.....
I met Barry many years ago at an SSCA gathering/meeting down on the Kern one February. Met'em, climbed with'em and been sending my shoes to him ever since. NOBODY does a nicer job.
I broke my Rt. foot few years back, and my Mythos were no longer stiff enough for my overly sensitive foot. He added an extra thin layer of harder rubber and new soles for me. Worked great. That's just the last thing he's done. He's gone out of his way for me several times. Everytime I get him on the phone we talk for a good half hour....GREAT GUY....GREAT RESOLER.....GREAT CLIMBER.
Can't remember the number of times I've said "go to Barry, he's the best". I'm happily suprised to see so many posts in his good name.

From a recent email
" The address is still 41585 Auberry Rd.,
Auberry CA 93602. Half-soles are $32 per pair; rands are $9 per shoe
if needed and shipping is $6 for 1st pair (plus $2 for each
additional pair.) Email is checked on an irregular basis, so it's OK
to phone if you have questions or requests. 559 855-4511
thanks for thinking of me, Barry"
Barry is the best hands down
Peace

I sent my shoes to Al at Positive Resoles for a while and then just to switch things up sent them to Barry. Barry then sent them to Al because he had busted his wrist in a biking accident!! I thought that was funny, and a nice plug from Barry.

Unless things have changed I don't think Barry has an email.
Hope the broken wrist thing just mentioned is the one that happened a few years ago.
Barry Rules!!!
