Hey Cornie, did you delete one of your posts? The entire thread may be worth nuking. Just my opinion

You quoted me in a previous post of mine on this thread… why delete your reply?...

didn't realize how out of shape I am

Yes. Totally out of shape. I took the kayak out on the sea for the first time in years. After, once I got off the beach, after (to continue) my biceps were murder.

But I kept thinking, as I paddled, Allah be praised (for what, a total lack of coordination).

ISIS is a going/growing concern (actually now, I believe they just go by the name IS).

Fundamentalists. Whoa. There are Christians, atheists, sheep herders (shepherds if you didn't know), Buddhists (some questionable practices), luddites, Bushites, Obamaites, they all drink at the same well, as do rapists, pedophiles, gangsters, politicians… need I go on? But the very small, percentage wise, of Islamic fundamentalists, they can kick up a storm.

They ain't taking me over, or my soul, I have a Tube Chock, loaded with cats feces (thanks Boots, he's our cat ) I can launch at any Musilm fanatic who wants to proselytize me, or kill me.

Cat sh*t can be powerful.

You're quoting yourself?

But the very small, percentage wise, of Islamic fundamentalists, they can kick up a storm.

Again, evidence of ignorance (see hddj or Ken M for more) concerning the distinction between Islamic fundamentalists (hundreds of millions) and Islamic jihadis (thousands to tens of thousands).

Regarding "atheist fundamentalism" or "fundamentalist atheism" in America... show me the barbarism or bloodshed. Show me the evidence. Otherwise your opinion (merrily propagated by the religious / theistic) is baseless.

Like it or not, once again, there are American combat troops on the ground in Iraq.

Air strikes have to be directed by somebody who's there.

Simply put, ISIL is an unholy combination of al-Qaeda, the Khmer Rouge, and the Nazis.

Hey High Corn, ignorant am I ?

Have you worked with good, decent, peaceful people of the Islamic faith? I can't answer for you, but I have. Good humans.

Have you interviewed presidents (Clinton, too smooth for me) or prime ministers (Thatcher, for example, what a pain, August 1989), and others.

Yes, some of the extreme fundamentalists can kick up a storm, and will continue. Young men and women (especially with a Muslim background/upbringing), disenfranchised, soulless, so to speak, wanting an outlet for their frustrations, believing the sh8t that they believe the Koran expounds - like the Bible, misinterpreted for generations by misogynist men - not knowing what Christ or Mohammed really thought.

And to add, in their day, it was a patriarchal world. Both Christ and Mohammed, in my opinion, have been misinterpreted by people who have their own agendas. And I am a bona fide atheist, but I do believe in history, and what these two men had a hand in determining, if that is the right word, history.

An ignorant muslim is no different than an ignorant christian, or ignorant atheist ,or…

… ignorant climber.

So if you, High Corn if you think I am ignorant, so be it. Just switch to poitin, corn liquor is not that good.

The point of "ignorance" is your failing to distinguish (by your very own words) between fundamentalists and jihadis. Perhaps re-read your own post? The former number in the hundreds of millions, not mere thousands.

To be clear, I'll quote you...
the very small, percentage wise, of Islamic fundamentalists, they can kick up a storm.

Now if you meant jihadis as a small percentage of fundies, then you should try to post more clearly - esp given the complexities and delicacies of the subject. ;)

Our incompetent congress is a much bigger threat right now.

We will continue to bomb the crap out of them from afar. What else should be doing at this point?

This post is useless. This thread is useless. Grow a pair. I now exactly what I talk/write about. Cornie.

Just look at Ward Trotter's post below.

Talk about ignorance.

Obama's gross mishandling of our policy there----a too rapid acceleration of the withdrawal disengagement , plus his covert and not so covert support of the anti-Syrian rebellion--- has led to a power vacuum that the Jihadists have filled. Essentially the same thing is happening in Afghanistan.

This is what happens when you elect an unqualified incompetent pathological narcissist who harbors a barely concealed ideological sympathy for Muslim extremists.

Fundamentalist atheists NOT in Amerika? Stalin and Mao killed about 30 million innocents, between them

Yeah, there's the religious /theistic talking point I was waiting for, lol!

Yeah, remember, too, they were also non-astrologers and non-stamp collectors, too.

Yet you do not distinguish between fundie and jihadi. Curious if you distinguish between rock climbing and hiking.

Fructose avoids the point by using cant; a weak joke.

Yeah, that's crystal clear.

Speaking of ignorance, it does look like the ignorami have now taken over.

Btothers and sisters, I am out of here, this thread. Corn Liquor has taken over. Albeit, it is his thread and I was stupid enough to post on such a lame thread.

BTW Cornie, I will post my CV up against yours anyday.

Happy climbing. I hope you are at least as good at that.

Smile. ;-)

Nice try ,but when I cut and paste I clearly put the cut and paste in a quote box, usually with attribution.

Your lame attempt to marginalize opposition to Obama is sooooo....2012.

Ahh, 2012 ...the last major political/cultural victory for the baby boomer Left.

I'm afraid from now on its a pleasant retirement for all you counterculture rebels. A retirement fueled by the future labor and votes of unaccompanied minors . A retirement where you can sit around thumbing through old copies of Mother Earth while listening to Obama's first inagural speech with that Messianic reverb turned up on his voice.

You can kick back in your recliner and watch the Caliphate polishing the nose cones of their brand new ICBMs
