Surprised to see that anyone here misses Ron!

Yes I did just creat a profile. I am nursing a new injury that has me couch bound. I have lurked for quite some time though so I am well aware of the various personalities and drama surrounding them ST.

I am not surprised a few here will miss Ron. I actually would expect a few to miss him as birds of a feather ;) On the other hand more than one person has piped up and expressed that he will be missed and I am just shocked. Really truly shocked!

I won't share anymore of my opinion than I just did as it would only lend to more ugliness and negativity.

Ron probably got up to use the restroom. Did anyone notice that Riley W left? At least Ron and Riley posted some interesting climbing stuff on occasion.

Back in Dec 2013 Riley said:
"Really love you all ...and I do mean everyone ...it's really been great . The folks I disagree with the most I still consider my friends and look forward to climbing with and spending time with many of you still ..
I consider folks like Russ Walling to be solid gold and I don't give a damn about politics as it relates to what kind of human being someone is ... Bunch of f*#king bullshit when it comes down to it.
I really like Ron, Jhedge, Fatrad and of course Crowley no matter what has been said online.

That said my time here is over .
I find most of the comments I want to make here are negative, for some reason, which is the exact opposite of who I am in every other area of my life.

Facebook for me now contains many old and new friends, family and climbers and the shared interests and conversations are stimulating, polite and engaging.
And if it does get rude I just block the person..

I'm forever grateful to ST for allowing me to get to know the greater climbing world and to learn so much.
See ya all a bunch more at the crag or on Facebook ..

Of interest from above - "That said my time here is over .

I get what Riley said there. I think we can all improve in that respect, treat each other a tad better, be nicer to one another. It was good to see Apogees recent apology along the same lines. Perhaps we can all use that to keep more folks like Cosmic around - when there is less needless anger, fingerprinting and virtruol.

Is that a word? "virtruol" yahnahwutimean.

That is how I feel. Although I take responsibility for my comments, I find this format or specific forum seems to bring out the VERY worst in me. Not saying "goodbye", but I am really reconsidering why I spend time here.

For f*#k man you guys are ruthless!

I can do without the right wing crap as imop most of it at its core stems from nothing more than ignorance and and a very ugly heart. But fighting ugliness with ugliness?

I do understand the above couple comments this is a direct response to might be in jest but still some pretty mean spirited ugly humor imop.

Nothing pretend about dyslexia.

And I say this all as a guy that can most often do without the perspective coz has to offer.

Isn't he dyslexic?

I don't know, is he? I don't think so.

If he is he should quit pouncing on so many people for their "supposed" weakness.

I here he want to collage.
I probably got my degree(s) in less time than it would take me to make 30,000+ posts.

All of the time wasted here could probably rebuild Rome - can't exclude myself completely, sadly...

Is anyone here sufficiently young that they can remember Apogee's apology from maybe a week ago? It was pretty positive there for awhile. I thought it was a welcome change. Here we have complaints about negative posting, those complaints themselves embedded in negative posts.

My posts got some dismissive remarks, that I ignored. First, one's most powerful response is often that of ignoring. Second, if I have a difficulty with someone, it makes no sense to get emotional and put them in charge of controlling me. Better simply to get a grip. We do that while climbing. Why not here?

Going in a direction opposite to that of most others, can be quite productive. It is actually rather fun.

PopLocke's got it right, Ron went climbing. Good for him! After all, he's got to get his chops ready for woodfest 2014.
