If only I could have gotten out of running laps by announcing "boner" back in 8th grade.

Your gym shorts usually did it for you anyway.

LEB,

Woman or Man its all cool. Your stuff can be a bit long winded but, like Tarbuster said, I like chatting with you. Climber or non Climber. Its all good.
Whoever taught you how to write was someone who knew their stuff.

"What if posters on ST were not Climbers???"

If so, we'd usually never know. The non-climbers can happily post away on the non-climbing threads (the majority, even allowing for drift and highjacking), under the wonderful loopy pen names (some rude) that people use, and "we'd" never know. As long as "they" stay away from climbing threads, or learn enough to cover their tracks, that's that.

Still, it doesn't take long to get a pretty good idea of which noms de plume are climbers, and which don't.

I agree with Patrick - the header for every posting should enable readers to easily get an idea of what it really is about. (Though sometimes the originator's name is a pretty good clue...) That's simple good manners.

I like the variety of contributors and subjects on the ST forum. (I don't have much experience on other forums.) Climber-talk in and of itself gets a bit dull after a while, as even adolescent males discover. Even those reminiscing about the golden past. IMHO, climbers need to get better involved in civil society, and perhaps forums such as ST are part of that. Climbing is lots of fun to yak about, but there are lots of other things going on in the world that are important. If we can sometimes talk about how climbing fits into that larger world, all the better. Climbers no longer inhabit an island that no one else has any interest in, and tunnel vision isn't a great survival strategy.

A diversity of opinions and perspectives are often a good thing, though sometimes a bit more respect and tolerance might help. Most of the questions worth discussing are complex and don't have simple answers.

That above is the genius of LEB. Using all that softy woman stuff to throw off DMT. What is weird is that DMT = LEB, so the loop of madness is complete.

I believe Lois may be recommending the judicious use of Occam's Razor. A device that may have applications elsewhere in ST land.

Correcto El DMT: Rimjob was going on about how he "got a rise" (hydraulic style) at the robot olympics or some other nonsense. Idiom or??????????????

Wait, am I responding to DMT or LEB? I guess both would be the correct answer.

LEB please.... I know plenty of secrets about the cavens of mystery..... and I'm a guy (usually). Don't make me go all ectopic or drone on about endometriosis on ya. I'm a vas deferens man to the core, but I know about these things that go cramp in the night.
