yep I get ya Mr. Duck.
I'd love to see a photo of the yosar cache.
I'll bet it doesn't stay in a pile on the floor post-use for very long eh?
Come on, give up the goods. I could use a little inspiration.

Went an looked and the Mfg of the thing is "GearStash". Makes it easy to grab the crap you want as you head out on adventures. Picturetime:
Kind of small, but all my toprope gear (like retired biners, nuts, cams, old slings etc) goes into a big plastic box, and aid gear goes in another big plastic box, keeping the Gearstash for lead gear.
For shoes, I use old retired daisy chains to hang them up.
This keeps the old school pawing through boxes and dumping a haul bag out each time you need something system to a minimum:-) The Chouinard padded sling on the left is my standard lead rack. I just hang it up with all the gear on it, then add or subtract as needed. Extra slings are stuffed into a mesh bag on the right.
Here's some info from the factory web site: http://gearstoragesystems.com/
"The GearStash® gear storage organizers (Mesh Bags, HangStraps and Hooks) help you turn a messy area into an organized functional space. Our gear organizers storage systems ensure you take the gear you need where you need it. The GearStash® organizers help you simplify inventorying, finding, and packing all your gear and equipment. When you return, your gear storage organizers provide you consistent places to quickly stow each item to be ready to find and pack for your next trip."

I keep my free rack in the trunk and everything else in 2 haulbags in my bedroom. I know what's in there.

Still a work in progress but I had this cabinet made to house the gear from those junk metal boxes.
