That video is wild. Yikes!!
It's no wonder her dad has gray hair.

Hazel Findlay in Climb, Jan/Feb 2016:
A lot of people press upon me the value of positive thinking. The search for silver linings. If you're one of these people, I wonder then, what you'll think of my alternative.
It goes something like this: If you want to be happy don't wish for anything; chances are it won't make you happy anyway. Don't ask the world to fit you; it won't listen. Don't expect other people to do what you want; they're too busy doing what they want. Don't cling to what you have, what's gone or what you think you need; nothing lasts. If you want to be happy, accept that your body might break, and that you can't climb like you want to all the time. If that sounds negative, the reality is that you're the master of your own misery, and your own happiness, whatever comes your way.
Most of all, if you want to be happy, enjoy autumn, the season in which the old year burns bright and fades away. Why would anyone dwell on lost summer days when you can choose to calmly watch a green leaf turn red in front of your eyes? And when you can happily remark on how fabulous the colours are this year.

That's a solid quote. Dig it. Thanks.
PS Bumped into her a min in the south east a few months ago and she was still dealing with some serious shoulder injury recovery/resting cycle figuring out. Hope she's coming along.
-It's hard not to have some lingering injuries off and on in this sport in the long run. I need to appreciate being healthy a lot more overall in general when I am. It's humbling.

Good Video Marlow. Some stiff climbing there. Wondering 2 things.
1st) Does it screw with her lead head to see like at 3:49 where the belayer has his hand off the brake end of the rope.
and
2nd) I've climbed a few times with 2 ropes and although I usually go without a helmet except on big mountains, on that route as it doesn't appear to be overhanging it looks like it would be easy to catch your foot behind the rope on a fall and get whacked on the noggin: why no helmet?

The cool thing is that the belayer is her Dad.
