Great week at Courtright. Cool weather, good sailing, great friends and lots of beer!
Some highlights;
Glenn flashed C'mon Now on the east side of Power Dome...a beautiful face to tips to crack adventure.
Probably the coolest part was seeing Craig Pack revisit This Is Hard 11.c on the Tiger Cage. Craig had put up this climb on-sight in 07. Subsequently, Craig badly injured his feet and ankles in a bouldering fall at Donner nearly leading to amputation. Althought climbing is very painful for him now, he pushed through it to play on his masterpiece.
Was also cool seeing Birgit Buss and her daughter Naomi back where they belong. Birgit climbs as cool as ever.
Looking forward to getting back and seeing more friends....flydude
P.S. anyone know who did the three far right face routes in Punk Rock? This middle one is classic but with very scary 1/4" bolts.

Now you have a clue why I moved back to Fresno 30 years ago. I won't be able to climb for at least another three weeks, but as soon as I do, you can guess where I'll be heading.
If any of you are ever out this way, and don't mind pulling your second a bit, let me know. I live only about a mile off of Highway 168.
And Gary, Drill Instructor was my first roped solo after a 20-year layoff from solo climbing. I think I had to work harder pulling up the rope on the slab than with the actual climbing, though, and I didn't realize there was a route there until I walked past the second bolt on the way to Tao. Still, it was a lot of fun.

John, I live on 168...sounds like we're within friendly fire distance. I can hit donutnational from the back of my garage, however Barry is out of range (lucky guy).

Just last night I was getting off of 168 headed east, on Temperance and the clear sky showed a Hoover Dam size crag up in the hills straight ahead..... The Mighty ...Patterson Bluff

Flydude, I'm in the flats in Harlan Ranch. One of the things I love about my drive home is the view of Patterson Bluff most evenings.

Heading up tomorrow, Thursday, with my great wife and kids. If someone wants to hit me up for climbing, stop by my campsite on the short road to the Maxxon-Punk Rock parking lot. Small blue pop-up trailer with White Hyundai Santa Fe.
I won't be doing any multi-pitch climbing until the cobbler Barry comes up on possibly Sunday or following Wednesday. Mr. Laeger might make an appearance beginning of next week. Then I'll be the youngest in the group.
Those posted photos are great. Keep up the great work.
