Do you make those lamps for sale? They look really nice, and I'm sure that they are.

Weeg, Tucker Tech just takes a boulder for a walk every morning. It looks like a brutal work-out.

kate i started a company a couple years ago
and made tons of these lamps.
i was beginning my marketing efforts
when i got an offer for higher paying
desk job.

i took the job and put my art company on hold.

so now my house is littered with river
rock lamps and various other wares
that invented themselves in the forest.

i trade them around the commnity...
one fetched a 100 dollar gift card at
the local sushi bar.

i gift them to people
and i guess i could sell them
but im horrible at selling things.

It's chained for a reason. It attacked a tourist.
--A seasonal NPS nature guide

Warren was his name. Kinda batso but employable.
He looked the part, with hair so short and the tilt of the anger hat, I mean ranger, no ire in he.

He was great on geology. He really knew his schist. Or so he convinced the ones who hired him. Maybe he didn't. I just took it for granite he did.

He had the attitude that if it isn't fun to learn, it should be. He hung around Dennis Miller, apparently.

One afternoon there was a small crowd gathering in front of the Mtn. Shop, the old one in Yosemite Village, mind you, actually it was in front of the Adams gallery, but no one took a photo, so you have to rely on me.

The center of the crowd was Warren the naturalist, relating the stories he was paid to tell. He was given quite a bit of room, more than one would think for one person. As it turned out, he had a boulder of granite, weighing close to fifteen pounds, if I am any judge. Looked like it.

He had a leash, a chain with a leather loop with his hand in it. It was about six feet long and clipped to a bolt hanger. The boulder had been bolted by a quarter-inch Rawl. The threads were mutilated. That nut was not coming back off.

Well, it turns out that this boulder came off the cliffs somewhere. It almost nailed a visitor. It was performing public service, Warren said, by accompanying him on his walks. He only dragged it in the area around the Visitors Center. He wasn't crazy, just knew a lot and had a good time telling you what he had learned.

He rocked, and that's how he rolled.

He called the boulder a "Pet Rock.." The year was 1972.

crawdaddy,
i had a bolt holding the rig up,
but i chopped it cause it detracted from the overall excitement of the piece.

i'd like to keep this jewelry line
at least A3, and maybe rated R,

so i'll get rid of the 3/16 hemp twine,
i'll fill the hole with
some stacked RP's
and i'll equalize the whole lot
with tubular webbing.

hows this.
i just thunk this wood make a good
tie if any of you monkeys ever decide to get wed.
give me a shout if you're in the market
for my dirtbag fancy wares...
