Yeah Hedge is a piece of work, and we're all waiting until he quits for good. The shitty thing is he's done more climbing than most and his bucket list likely only has a few shitty sport routes that have been carved out of the worst rock in the US of Mother F-ing America. Unfortunately, that's due to teh fact that he's done alot of really good climbing. He is, after all, a legend.
A few things to note:
 Stealth is what all other rubber is compared to. Turns our dorks on mountain bikes, frenchies jumping around roofs, and various other people seemed to like it to just adds to the Mystique (<- see what I did there?).
Point #2 is the same as the first. You don't talk about sticky rubber without talking about Stealth. It's just how it is.
Who knows in charge of the ad department over there, but damn! They've done the best ads in the business. A fly with 5/10 shoes? "Native American" iron workers with 5/10? Someone is over there has got a good eye.
Evolve painfully gestated (my not in the know impression) from 5/10. Yeah, they broke the back of expensive shoes, but they did it from what they learned at 5/10.

Who has the balls to put sticky rubber on a bunch of retro shoes and sell them as Mountain biker shoes? Parkour? Stone cold capitalist, very impressive.

The Nike guys were here a few years ago showing off their prototype nomex fireproof rescue shoe for helicopters.
Everyone is drooling oogling these things as I approach.
I pick the shoe up and stick my fingernail into the rubber and realize right away this rubber on this shoe is sh'it.
Total slippery crap not worth the damn.
I throw them back in the circle and say; "worthless piece of sh'it for a shoe."
"Throw em in the dumpster"
The Nike man was piqued. "Now why is that so he asks.
I demonstrate his rubber against my C4 along with all the pros and cons. Aha !!!! he sees.
I told him to contact Charles.
He returns weeks later with 5.10 C4 rubber on one of the prototypes.
