Don't rush to conclusions. He means the band Rush, not the right-wing drug-addled whiner.
The only Canadian who has tried to directly involve himself in US right-wing politics was the forgettable David Frum. Apart, that is, from our wannabe neo-con prime minister.

Therefore, as a California citizen, I hereby give you permission and legal authorization for you to move to Canada any time you want for as long as you want.
(just print out this post and show it to them when you show up at the border with a U-Haul full of your stuff)
