Experimental rocket motors and rockets. Some AP, Zinc, binder, Tepanol, Aluminum... mix well. For reference, the motor in the video was test fired this past weekend in my backyard. The motor is about a J700 [38mm], 1.15 sec burn time. The small brother of a full K [54mm] going into a minimum diameter 'mach-buster' next weekend in Maryland. Should go over 1000 MPH to 13000' AGL.

My neighbors are scared of me.

Hey Susan, someone's gotta supervise a job. You can't downplay the importance of administration!

Thanks T2 - I heartily agree!

I'll tell you what, 4:30am alpine starts and dawn patrols don't seem nearly as hard as they used to!

perhaps we need a thread just for supertaco bambinos.

That rocket motor was cool. I've only recently seen high power rocketry and it is definitely COOL!

Medric,

Here's a smaller, slightly longer burning motor... Approximately an H170.

from the previous thread, that blower wasn't a wind machine.

this is what i use: 3400hp 16cyl turbocharged. from some kind of old bomber, don't remeber what.

we use it to simulate windloads while doing mock-up testing of high-end building facades. the rack shown in front of the blower is spraying water at 5gallons/hour/square foot.

Bachar you are screwing up David Blanes block your other foot that you are standing on trick.. At least have your standing foot heal in the pic vice the toe since the toe is what you stand on. Also, it is more effective when you show the upper body.

yeah those guys got way to much (of our) money. i worked on the airport and spent a couple of weeks in the neighborhood. weird place, they are trying WAY to hard, but hey, at least they are trying yaknow. we had fun, but the bleak natural surroundings and dust storms really got on my nerves.

the desert makes the midwest look intresting.

ThomasKeefer - This is the 'King Rising' version. You have to wait for the proper electro-magnetic field levels to build up before you can tap into them....heh, jb

You can see both my hands...my mac-cam doesn't go that wide anyway...and that's my pant leg by the top left foot...

Rokjox-- You are a serious HAM, what a shack. I'm also a licensed HAM, but orginally only out of necessity for flying paragliders. Although my HTs have come into use now for many other activities: Car caravans, resort skiing, PG, hiking with several parties, climbing etc.

Again, that is a serious set-up :-))

Hey Rok Daddy,
Over on the Wine Thread, me and Jaybro and Mussy were skimming the issue of music uploads for ST.

How can I get plugged into some of this reality check you are dialin' to on your debonair and ultra hip radio devices?
