JB,
That last one of you is the Father Figure, right? I remember the day that came out in Climbing. I was on my way out to Roubidoux with a fresh pair of Kamet Joshua Trees or Carbon Fiber Sprints (something like that) and we yacked the whole way through the Inland Empire (second only to the Holy Roman) talking about that photo. Totally rad and inspiring. Another memory was a time--'88 or '89--running into you coming out of Real Hidden Valley, alone except for a huge boom box, blasting NWA's "Straight Outta Compton"! That set the tone for the rest of my afternoon.

Can someone scan and post the shot of Yabo on Planet X? I don't have a scanner, but that's beyond classic. And correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a near life sized print of it hanging in the window of some West LA photo gallery?

JB-

"Jo - No - but I do have a powered wheelchair and a really cool cane...ha, jb"

Say it isn't so. I can't imagine that, even if I know you're kidding. Hey, if Becky is still going well into his 80s and Donini is still going strong well into his 60s(?) we all should be too. Inspiration. NGU.

About fashion, I bumped into you with my friends and you were doing a climb on Di-lithium (sp?) Crystal in ORG a long while back. You were sporting a fashion from let's say, I don't know - India maybe? It was wrapped all-round near the waist and upper legs and it all kind of looked like, well ok I don't want to say what it looked like. I'm sure it was very comfortable though. Got any images of that fashion statement?

I think MG might like to see that.

Johnny B.

Great shots! I remember reading that you used to have to ice your forearms [elbows] because of your tendonitis. Is that still a problem? How are your arms these days? Can you still crank [as] hard?

Yeah I can still "climb" a little...just got back from the Gorge. Nice down there today by the way. Soloed DWP, 11c...not like the old days but felt pretty good!

My scanner doesn't do slides, bummer, only "reflective art"....oh well
Cheers all! jb
