"I think Fatty roommate ought to be to Socialist of the year for letting him stay rent free for so long."
No way Jeff is not paying rent.
If he has not bought a replacement house we know he thinks the double dip recession is coming.
Interesting.

Shouldn't we at least consider all the red state socialists here? By definition, anyone living in a "red" state is a socialist. Plus a commie, of course - all reds are commies, aren't they?

Apogee, why do you people just post stupid graphics? No debate?
What is a 'red state'? Is it an inherently poor conservative state? Are blue states usually richer liberal states?
There is no analysis behind your graphic, no foot-noted data as to how they extrapolated the data for the conclusions.
It means nothing, or next to nothing. Instead of debating my points you post a f*#king graphic???

What it means you moron that blue states carry most of the load when it comes to taxes and less government entitlements.
Your welfare hating people (red) and states (reds) take the most in federal dollars.

I wonder what that graphic would look like before we outsourced jobs overseas? And yeah, both parties were responsible!
And I don't 'hate' welfare....

That graphic was printed in Newsweek (I think) during the 2008 campaign, in an attempt to 'clarify' the rhetoric that the GOP had created around tax dollars. Don't like that chart? Here's the data it was based on, from the non-profit Tax Foundation:
http://www.taxfoundation.org/research/show/266.html
The point is, bluering, that for all of the ridiculous hyperbole that you and the rest of your GOP'sters make about how our president is a Socialist, the fact is that the great majority of the states that vote Republican GET more in the way of federal tax dollars than they GIVE.
Hard to come up with a clearer example of Socialism than that.

That graphic says everything it needs to. States that consistently vote Republican take in more federal dollars than those that vote Democrat. That is a well known fact that's been around for generations.
Personally, I'd love to cut off federal dollars to the tea bagger districts that claim to hate federal spending so much. Be interesting to see how long that lasts.

Umm, yeah, there's data...you just don't want to acknowledge it.

If it doesn't fit the GOP narrative, it doesn't exist. If the facts aren't convenient to the GOP narrative, then twist 'em till they do.

If Cali was (and is) one of the brokest states in the nation, how can it be so low on the list?
Something ain't right.
