Tom Brokaw comes to mind. He has been around the block a few times. He climbs with Yvon Chouinard. (funny story how Yvonne always scares the sh#t out of him on their adventures) He has interviewed many great and interesting people and has a handle on the pulse of the world.

Dead or alive?
For me it would be someone who has been on the moon or spent some time in space. As far as dead guys go, Jedediah Smith.

I had to look that one up Karen.
ENFPs are initiators of change, keenly perceptive of possibilities. They energize and stimulate others through their contagious enthusiasm. They prefer the start-up phase of a project or relationship, and are tireless in the pursuit of new-found interests. ENFPs are able to anticipate the needs of others and to offer them needed help and appreciation. They bring zest, joy, liveliness, and fun to all aspects of their lives. They are at their best in fluid situations that allow them to express their creativity and use their charisma.

I had to think a while about the most interesting man, but the most interesting woman is a lot easier. Women are doing things nowadays that make them more interesting than men. The future of this planet could very well be in women's hands.

I will repeat, a female ENFP will always be more interesting to me.
Through my life I've found these are my soul mate friends of either gender since there are less than 8% of us in the population. Either male or female they are not easy to find out there in the masses.

A person can only be classified as most interesting if he pats you on the back and you put it on your resume, both sides of his pillow are cool and the Romans do as he does.

Extroverts can be annoying IMHO. Here's a perspective given to me some years ago. Introverts go to the agora (google it if need be) fully charged and their energy bleeds off as they interact with people. Extroverst go there on empty and charge up with energy as they interact with people. The extroverts seem to be searching for us introverts since they can't seem to handle listening to each other. So if that were true the extroverst are taking, always taking from the introverts. They're taking energy. More opinion.... extroverts talk too damn much and need attention, they're needy and self-centered.

Yeah, many variations of personalities. That's why I think the Myers Briggs test is a lot like astrology. There's some truth in there and then a lot of disclaimer in case they're wrong.

Introverts can be annoying as hell, they can be too damn quiet, won't open up and do get drained through interaction with others. The only annoying extroverts are the extreme ones who never shut up, so, there is the middle ground with both types.
Also, one is either a more sensory type or an intuitive type. How often do you meet people who are seriously into philosophy vs. sports?
Or, Indie/existential type films vs. your typical Hollywood film?
