Wow. I' m currently on an expedition to Bishop. Yesterday we did a new route put up by one of the locals and it still had some loose flakes on it. That was quite rough. The day before that the winds were gusting to 60 mph and we were forced to spend the day top roping sport climbs. Yesterday we had to fight through the Mule Days crowds at the Vons. You will doubtless not have any conditions as difficult as this on your travels, but have a great time.

Most excellent. Majid mentioned this exchange to me months and months ago and I've been eagerly awaiting the TR ever since. I want stories and pics, and lots of them.

Back in Tehran. I have traveled to over 45 countries and I have to say that Iranians are the most hospitable people I have ever met. Off to Tajikistan tomorrow with Chris Weidner and Jen Flemming for another 2.5 weeks of adventure, back on 7/6.
