Good Werner. That's a relief. I thought for a minute there he might be one of Rajmut's friends. That would have been bad.

Looks like, without the hijack, this thread is dead in the water.....
But anyway -
From:
http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/12/16/stern.last.day.ap/
"Stern, a New York radio fixture for 20 years and host of a syndicated show for 12 million daily listeners, bid farewell to his fans with a final show on terrestrial radio. Sirius is depending on Stern to reverse the company's money-losing ways. Since the 51-year-old shock jock announced his move last year, the number of Sirius subscribers jumped from 600,000 to more than 2.2 million -- and that figure was expected to hit 3 million by the end of this year."
Nope - can't figure out why Serius would have had any interest in that potty-mouthed Howard Stern!
From:
http://www.xmradio.com/newsroom/screen/pr_2005_10_18.html
"FOX News, headed by Roger Ailes, Chairman and CEO, operates FOX News Radio, a 24/7 news service reaching more than ten million listeners a week."
Somehow, I don't think that Howard Stern's contract price really has much to do with the decision to drop Fox News.

I really can't believe that had to pay Stern that much money to go to Sirius radio. I'm positive he could have been had for so much less. Somebody's head is going to roll over that someday

Lois,
Sirius Radio can break-even on Stern if he brings a little more than 3.2 million new listeners. @ $13/month or $156/year, in one year 3,205,128 suckers should be all it will take keep your stocks out of the toilet. That's assuming the new subscribers pay for the whole year.

Let's see.
If Howard has a staff of 100, that's five million appiece.
And people wonder why we can't cure cancer.
We spent our cancer cure on topless-radio.

Lois asked of me:
"Do you subscribe to sat radio? "
No.
I get my news from Rc.com.
And now, from Supertopo, which has a much different take on world events and a much more sophisticated stance on socio-economics. Rc is more like Fox news for me, nowadaze.....

For what Rajmit spends on Internet Service he could support a whole village of those little guys. He'd be helping us too by sending his ISP money to Ethiopia.
