Forget the dogs. It's the owners who are the problem.
We've hashed this over numerous times on SuperTopo, and no one has said anything new or interesting here. http://www.supertopo.com/climbers-forum/1165244/Dogs-at-the-crags
One behaviour that annoys me is when dog owners in effect 'park' themselves, their gear, and their dogs in the middle of paths running at or near the base of cliffs. Even if the dog is leashed, it often exhibits territorial behaviour as you try to get by, especially if the owner isn't on the ground. Barking, snapping and so on. Instead of parking off the trail, so people can safely get by.

I once saw someone's dog attempt to solo a snow gully left of the N. Arete on Bear Creek Spire.
Heard secondhand about a dog that chased a bird through a "window" near Tribal Boundaries at the City of Rocks. He apparently survived the 100 foot drop on the other side.

I watched a mini dog climb the first pitch of It's Better with Bacon at Lovers leap.
He took the crack all the way left!
That pitch makes most 2 leggers "Take a moment" If you know what I mean.
