Perhaps the question should rather be "Have we purged everyone who's disagreeable"? Disagreement is one thing. Being disagreeable about it, which sometimes happens here, is the problem.

Ron- I disagree with your Politics but after your last post the committee (polite term for cabal of Communists) has voted to let you stay....We'll ban Locker instead.
Anders edit: Agreed on the disagreeabilty, disagreeableness, whatever the verb to be for disagreeable may be, I agree.
However well intentioned a Crusade is at the outset, it seldom (ever?) remains pure, on course, or rational. I should be banned for bringing it up all all.
TR-Your point is totally valid. Any genuinely abusive creep should be banned. But there's that slippery slope of defining 'creepy', similar to that slippery slope of defining 'witch'.

I ain't worried about the hardened gunslingers. They don't pull their guns out at every opportunity. It is the whiny little backshooters that concern me.
Oh by the way. Norton hasn't been banned. I was trying to set up a "mission accomplished" type joke, but no one checked to see if Norton really was banned. You people messed up my joke. A pox on you for not doing what you usually do. How can a guy set up a joke if people don't fullfill their normal roles?

edit: he crossed the line yesterday with gear reviews of socks.
If this guy was really smart he would let em all back with the concession they need to proof read / edit a topo map for every post in the vein of those Captcha verification safeguards. Refusal or illegitimate answers are met with yet another bit of educational thought buffering. If the site can't stop the broadcasting of anti-social intentionally disruptive material it should come from the well versed mooncalf types.
Furthermore forgo the traditional marketing techniques that lead to selling socks and focus on your own business. Permaban the incestuous mega conglomerates fighting their way into every avenue of sustainable income. Replace it with a rotating e-store for home made wares currently available in some indiscriminate parking lot in the ditch or a ticker of availability and pricing of hippie lettuce.
Even farther from the line would be displacing anyone with rec.climbing or rockclimbing.com roots as this is a proven lineage for poor accounts.
