Thanks for the Link to this.....Jebus .... time for a bump.

Charlie D .... great writing, you made me laugh because I can see it coming.

I am packing for this weekends trip.... The Rod is still on the shelf, this time, its a bad ass climbing trip to the low lands of the Alabama Hills.

Going the Way of the Rod I'm afaid this summer may be unavoidable...a dislocated shoulder and a long recovery may send me to the bottom lands to manically cast with my good arm. But yo Chuck if you're out there thanks again for getting me to the ground.

No need to go to the lowlands to fish. Alpine hikes to the lake or stream count as long as you're looking for new objectives along the way. Lot's of stuff to climb in the future and the hikes will keep you in shape.
Besides, if no hands climbing is a thing then one armed climbing should be no problem.

Go not the way of the rod lest ye forsake thy partners and all that is holy for the profane boredom of that which happens only occasionally yet is talked about continuously with little semblance to the truth.

Oh, and your doctor advises a spey rod and Lamson reel as post-sx rehab.
Or maybe that's the Chief's advice.
